The Xianzhou Luofu was always bustling with life, but to you, the city’s markets only served as a reminder of your empty pockets. As an intergalactic traveler with barely enough money to buy a meal, extravagant gifts were out of the question. But when you thought about Luocha—the enigmatic merchant who had helped you time and time again—your heart ached to give him something in return.
So, you turned to the one thing you could offer: your hands.
You spent days carefully weaving a simple charm, using threads you scavenged from old fabrics. It wasn’t much—just a small green tassel, embroidered with a white flower. It was meant to resemble the ones on Luocha’s coat, a small token of appreciation for all he had done for you.
When the time came to give it to him, you hesitated. What if he found it childish? What if—
“Something on your mind?”
Luocha’s voice was gentle, pulling you from your thoughts. He stood beside you, his ever-present coffin resting on his back, his piercing eyes studying you with quiet curiosity.
You swallowed your nerves and held out the charm. “I… made this for you. It’s not much, but I wanted to thank you for everything.”
Luocha took the charm delicately, his fingers grazing yours. He examined it for a long moment, a small smile playing at his lips.
“A handmade gift,” he murmured, voice laced with something unreadable. “This must have taken you some time.”
You nodded, embarrassed. “I didn’t have money to buy anything nice, so I—”
“You misunderstand.” His eyes softened. “This is worth far more than any trinket I could buy.”
Your breath hitched as he carefully tied the charm to the handle of his coffin, letting it sway gently. His next words were quieter, almost as if they were meant for himself.
“A reminder that kindness does not always need to be repaid in coin.”
Luocha looked at you then, something warm and unreadable in his gaze. “Thank you. I will treasure it.”
Your heart stuttered. Maybe you weren’t as poor as you thought—because at that moment, Luocha made you feel richer than anyone in the stars.
You knew Aventurine was a man of luxury. Everything he owned was expensive—his suits, his accessories, even his dice were probably made of precious metals. Which meant buying him a gift was out of the question.
But you weren’t about to back down from the challenge.
So, you made something instead—a small deck of handmade playing cards. The designs were uneven, the paint smudged in places, but each card was made with care, featuring symbols inspired by his signature motifs: peacock feathers, gemstones, and spades.
When you presented it to him, Aventurine stared at the deck in silence, turning a card over in his gloved fingers. His eyes flickered with something unreadable.
“You made these?” he asked, a rare pause in his usual carefree demeanor.
You nodded, suddenly self-conscious. “I know it’s not much, but I—”
A chuckle escaped him, low and amused. “Not much? Sweetheart, do you have any idea how much effort this must’ve taken?”
You blinked, taken aback.
Aventurine shuffled the cards expertly, a mischievous glint in his gaze. “Handmade cards from you? I’d say that’s a one-of-a-kind treasure.” He twirled a card between his fingers before tucking the deck into his coat pocket. “A gift from the heart… Now that’s a gamble I’ll always bet on.”
His grin widened as he leaned in, voice dropping to a teasing whisper.
“Though I must warn you—I fully intend to make you play a round with me. And if I win…” He tapped your nose lightly, smirking. “You owe me another handmade surprise.”
You groaned, but the warmth in his expression made your heart flutter. Maybe, just maybe, you’d already won something far more valuable.
Jiaoqiu always gave so much to others. Whether it was his medical skills or his wisdom, he poured his heart into his work.
You wanted to return the favor—even if you had little to offer.
That’s how you found yourself carefully preparing a small, handmade snack using the most affordable ingredients you could find. It was a simple pastry, infused with herbs known for their calming properties—a recipe you had once seen Jiaoqiu mention in passing.
When you nervously handed it to him, Jiaoqiu blinked in surprise, his fox ears twitching slightly. “For me?”
You nodded, fidgeting. “It’s not much, but… I wanted to thank you.”
A slow smile spread across his lips, and for a moment, his irises shimmered with something soft. He took a careful bite, chewing thoughtfully.
Then, his expression melted into something fond.
“This… tastes like home,” he murmured.
Your breath caught.
Jiaoqiu looked at you then, eyes half-lidded but warm. “It’s been a long time since someone made something for me.” He let out a soft chuckle, shaking his head. “You have no idea how much this means.”
He reached out, gently patting your head before brushing a stray lock of hair aside. “Thank you. Truly.”
In that moment, you realized—maybe you didn’t need wealth to make a difference. Because in Jiaoqiu’s smile, in the quiet way he savored every bite, you knew your gift had found its place.
At one point he saunters up to me and casually asks “Don’t you have a book called American God or something like that?”
“American Gods, yeah, ‘s a Neil book. Why?”
(Sorry @neil-gaiman we refer to you by your first name…no disrespect meant)
11: “No reason, just something I thought of.”
I was confused, but the kid’s nothing if not random, so 🤷🏻 meh.
Then when they came to cash in their arcade tickets, he presented me with this:
He said there was nothing he wanted with his tickets so he wanted to get something for me that he thought I’d like.
They may drive me absolutely bonkers sometimes, but they’re bloody great kids, really. It’s lovely that he’s so thoughtful and he’s thought of his weird, nerdy mum.🖤
Edit: Yes I know it’s from the tv series. I’ve not yet seen it, don’t get to watch much tv.
Does Severus like to surprise his SO from time to time with flowers or home cooked meals?
Not so much the flowers, but he does do things to let her know he’s thinking of her. Cooking is one of the things he enjoys so he does it a lot. He also plans trips to do or see things with his SO and is always on the lookout for books she likes.
Also, Minerva taught him how to knit, so he’s been working on a super fluffy charmed scarf to keep out the cold for her.

Your birthday is no ordinary occasion in Aventurine’s eyes. From the moment the date comes around, the entire month feels like a prelude to the grand spectacle that is your special day. As someone who thrives on high-stakes drama, he isn’t about to let your birthday pass by unnoticed or uncelebrated—this will be an event that everyone remembers.
The first sign that he’s preparing for your birthday is the cryptic messages that fill your inbox. “Prepare for a night of fortune’s favors and dangerous delights,” one message reads, followed by another: “The dice are rolling, my dear. Will you win or lose? Let’s find out.”
As the day arrives, Aventurine greets you with an impeccably tailored suit, complete with your favorite color incorporated into his attire, a signature of his taste. His grin is sly, eyes twinkling as he hands you a velvet box, inside which lies a stunning piece of jewelry—an intricately designed necklace with a pendant in the shape of a roulette wheel. “For luck, of course,” he says, voice teasing, though there’s a deeper sincerity in his gaze that betrays the flamboyant facade. He winks. “Consider it a gamble on me.”
The evening unfolds with a lavish party, hosted in a private venue that you didn’t even know existed. The ambiance is a mix of high society and a touch of decadence—golden chandeliers glimmer above, and roulette tables dot the space. Guests murmur in the background, but the focus is all on you. The food is gourmet, but every course is accompanied by a playful twist—“a game of chance” where you must roll dice to decide what you eat next. Aventurine is ever the master of ceremonies, his charm filling the room as he guides you through each round with a devilish grin, offering playful bets and challenges that keep you on your toes.
For a birthday gift, you get more than just material things. He arranges for a private dinner where the two of you can indulge in fine wine and share stories. The night ends with an unexpected twist—a surprise firework display designed by Aventurine himself, a perfect blend of calculated risk and breathtaking beauty. It’s a night where the gamble is on love, trust, and the unpredictable nature of life itself, and you walk away knowing that, despite his ruthless nature, he’ll always make you feel like the prize in the game of life.
Jiaoqiu isn’t the type to indulge in grand gestures. He’s subtle, thoughtful, and prefers to focus on the little things that show how much you mean to him. He would likely spend weeks planning the perfect birthday for you, though he would never let on until the day arrives. His care and attention to detail would be apparent in the smallest of actions, yet those would speak volumes.
The day begins with him quietly showing up at your door early in the morning, a soft, comforting smile on his face. He’s dressed simply, but there’s something elegant about the way he carries himself. He hands you a small, intricately wrapped box. Inside is a delicate, hand-painted jar of his specialty—an herbal tea blend that he personally crafted just for you. “For your peace of mind,” he says, his voice calm and soft as ever. “I thought you might enjoy something to calm you after the excitement of the day.”
Throughout the day, Jiaoqiu doesn’t make the day about him. Instead, he does things that make you feel loved in a quiet way. He’s there to help you with anything you need, offering words of encouragement and gentle humor. When you need a break, he’s ready with a fan and a serene space where the two of you can rest, allowing you to enjoy the calm away from the chaos of the day.
As evening falls, he invites you to a secluded garden within the Alchemy Commission’s grounds—an intimate, peaceful setting surrounded by softly glowing lanterns. There, he surprises you with a homemade meal, full of comfort and nourishment. He’s spent the afternoon preparing it, making sure every dish is full of flavor and love. There are no grand speeches, no unnecessary flourishes—just his presence and the warmth he’s been radiating all day. After dinner, he offers you a handmade token, a small medallion he’s had engraved with a simple phrase: “May your heart always be healed.”
The night ends with Jiaoqiu quietly sitting by your side, your hands resting together, the stars overhead, and the sound of the gentle breeze carrying his calm words to you. He doesn’t need to say much, because you already know that his way of spoiling you is by simply being present, caring, and steady—exactly what you need.
Phainon’s approach to spoiling you on your birthday is nothing short of grand—he may be gentle and cheerful, but his desire to make your special day unforgettable is deeply ingrained in him. The moment he learns your birthday is approaching, he gets to work, balancing his warrior spirit with his determination to create something truly beautiful for you.
The day starts with him meeting you at dawn, wearing an outfit that exudes regal elegance, his shining hair swept back. He greets you with a cheerful smile, eyes alight with excitement. Without hesitation, he leads you to a small, private area set up with a beautifully arranged breakfast spread—fresh fruit, pastries, and an assortment of teas. “I wanted you to start your day with peace,” he says, his voice soft but with a sincerity that carries weight.
As the day unfolds, Phainon continues to surprise you with thoughtful gestures. His deep attention to detail shows as he arranges for a small group of friends to join you for a light-hearted, competitive game—he’s always been a fan of friendly rivalry. Whether it’s a contest of skill or wit, Phainon’s charm comes out as he eagerly engages with you, his friendly spirit making every moment feel exciting.
The evening brings an elegant celebration with music, where Phainon takes the lead in organizing a dance, showing off his graceful yet strong movements, inviting you to join him. He’s playful but respectful, constantly making sure you’re enjoying yourself. During the festivities, he surprises you with a hand-carved keepsake—a small, intricate figure made of the finest materials from Aedes Elysiae. It’s a representation of a hero in his culture, but in this case, it’s clearly made with you in mind, a way to symbolize how important you are in his life.
As the night ends, Phainon pulls you aside, offering a quiet moment away from the celebration. He smiles, his usual cheerfulness tempered with a hint of genuine warmth. “Happy birthday,” he says softly, before holding you close. “I hope today showed you just how much you mean to me, and how proud I am to share this life with you.”
No matter the chaos of battle or the trials of his journey, Phainon’s birthday gift is the promise of loyalty, affection, and devotion—something priceless in a world so unpredictable. You are his constant, and he makes sure you feel it every step of the way.
Dan Heng with a creative and crafty Reader (drawing, painting, embroidery, ceramics, etc) and one day Reader makes for him a scented nudibranch/sea bunny plush that smells like lotuses, water lilies and rain. Something cute and huggable whenever he isn’t sleeping well or just wants something to hold onto. 😊
A Whisper of Lotus and Rain
Summary: Dan Heng struggles with sleepless nights haunted by the past. Noticing his restlessness, you—an introverted and creative individual—decide to make him a special, handmade plush of a sea bunny that smells like lotus flowers, water lilies, and rain. The plush is meant to offer comfort when Dan Heng is unable to sleep. While he is hesitant at first, Dan Heng quietly acknowledges the gesture, finding solace in the softness of the plush and the thoughtfulness behind it.

The Astral Express was quiet, the usual hum of the engine and the occasional creak of the train’s frame settling in the background. The crew had gathered in their usual spaces for rest after a long journey, but tonight was different. Dan Heng sat by a window, staring out at the passing stars, his spear leaning against the seat beside him. His quiet contemplation was his usual refuge, but lately, he’d been struggling with more than just his responsibilities.
There had been nights where sleep seemed impossible. Thoughts from his past would creep in—unwanted, unsettling—and he couldn’t push them away, no matter how much he tried. He would wake in cold sweats, the weight of his past and the darkness that trailed him pulling him into restlessness. But no one knew. No one but you.
You had seen him struggle, though he never openly confessed to it. His demeanor was always calm, but the subtle exhaustion in his eyes didn’t escape your notice. You’d always been the creative sort, your hands busy with things that brought you peace—drawing, painting, and lately, embroidery. Your talent for crafting was something you took pride in, and it was your way of expressing everything you felt but couldn’t put into words.
One evening, as the train rolled into a new, unfamiliar station, you decided to create something just for him. It was your way of offering comfort in a way you knew best: with your hands.
You spent the next few days working in your small corner of the train, sketching designs, picking out fabric, and weaving threads into a creation that would be small enough to fit in his hand but meaningful enough to offer the comfort you thought he needed. Your creation would be a plush—a soft, cute, and huggable sea bunny, a nudibranch, with the colors of ocean blues and the pale whites of lotus petals.
You wanted it to smell like peace—like the serene beauty of a quiet lake after the rain. You found the perfect scented oils—lotuses, water lilies, and rain itself. With each stitch, each step of the process, you poured your thoughts into it. You imagined him holding it in the night, something to comfort him, to hold onto when his thoughts wouldn’t let him rest.
When you finally finished, you carefully placed the small plush on the seat near his usual resting spot. It sat there, soft and delicate, its hues offering a subtle warmth. You hesitated before calling out to him.
“Dan Heng?” you said softly, standing near the door of the cabin, your heart racing a little at the thought of his reaction.
Dan Heng looked up from his seat, his usual calm gaze shifting to you. His eyes narrowed slightly, perhaps noticing the uncertainty in your voice, but he didn’t say anything.
You gestured toward the plush. “I made this for you. It’s... just something to hold onto when you need it.”
His gaze shifted to the plush, then back to you. For a long moment, he didn’t speak, his expression unreadable. But then, slowly, his gaze softened—just the slightest shift, a flicker of emotion he didn’t often allow others to see. He reached out, picking up the plush in his hands, his fingers tracing the soft fabric.
“It smells like rain...” he murmured quietly, his voice quieter than usual. “Lotuses... water lilies.”
You nodded. “I thought it might bring you some peace when things get... heavy.” You shifted a little, nervously tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. “You don’t have to say anything. Just... if you need it.”
For a brief moment, he said nothing, simply holding the plush in his hands. His fingers gently pressed into it, as though testing its softness, as though deciding whether or not he could allow himself to find comfort in it.
Then, after what seemed like an eternity, he finally spoke, his voice soft but sincere. “Thank you.”
His words were simple, yet the weight behind them was something you hadn’t expected. He wasn’t one for overt displays of emotion, and this quiet acknowledgment felt like a rare gift.
“I’ll keep it close,” he added quietly, his gaze softening as he stood up. “It’s... nice.”
And with that, he walked to his sleeping quarters, the small sea bunny plush clutched in his hand. You stood there for a moment, feeling a warmth spread through your chest.
Later that night, you could hear the gentle sound of Dan Heng’s door opening and closing, but there was something different about the way he walked past. He no longer seemed as weighed down by the usual tension that hung around him. You smiled softly to yourself, knowing that somehow, you had managed to give him something to hold onto—something that could help ease the weight of the past, if only for a little while.
The next morning, when you checked on him again, the plush was placed on his pillow, the scent of lotus and rain still faintly lingering in the air. And for once, Dan Heng had managed to sleep soundly.
I have 2 requests if you dont mind. 1) their reaction to receive flowers. 2)making them pick a number from 1 to 50 and kissing them to that number. (You can do any character if it gives you ideas. Just please let Aventurine be in✨)

A/N: These are such cute reqs!! 🤭 I'm making the first req first, I hope you don't mind. I'll make the second req seperately!
[Second req]
Gepard Landau
The floral arrangement you chose for Gepard was simple yet elegant, much like him—bluebells and white lilies wrapped with a silver ribbon.
When you handed it to him, his eyes widened, a faint blush spreading over his cheeks. "These… are for me?" he asked, stunned yet touched. He held the bouquet as though it were a rare treasure, a quiet smile breaking through his normally composed expression. “Thank you. I’ll keep them close.” he said, his voice soft with appreciation.
As he placed them in a vase on his desk, you noticed his gaze drift toward them during every pause, a visible reminder of the warmth you’d given him.
Aventurine
You surprised Aventurine with a bouquet of wildflowers, vibrant and full of life, each bloom a symbol of the spontaneity he cherished.
He took the bouquet with a laugh, twirling one flower between his fingers. “Flowers, hm?” He raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing at his lips. “A bit sentimental, aren’t we?” But he couldn’t hide the glimmer of fondness in his eyes as he placed them on the table beside his cards. “I’ll admit, they brighten up the place.” he said, watching you with that enigmatic gaze.
Later, you found him admiring the bouquet, his expression softer, almost vulnerable, as he traced the petals thoughtfully.
Sunday
Handing Sunday the bouquet of soft pink carnations and white roses, you watched as he gazed at them in silent wonder.
His fingers brushed over the delicate petals as though afraid they might shatter. “Such beauty is a rarity,” he murmured, his eyes reflecting the gentle hues of the flowers. “It’s like a glimpse of the paradise I wish to create.” He held the bouquet close, his fingers lingering as if absorbing the calm and warmth.
Then, with a tender smile, he placed a single flower in your hair. “In this world, you are the rarest blossom.” he whispered, his hand lingering as he looked at you, his gaze softer than ever.
Jing Yuan
When you presented the bouquet of lotus flowers to Jing Yuan, his face softened, and a gentle laugh escaped his lips. “You always bring something unexpected.” he said, taking the bouquet with his usual calm grace.
He placed them beside him, letting their fragrance fill the room. "They remind me of the patience and thoughtfulness you show me every day." he murmured, eyes warm as they met yours.
Reaching over, he tucked one lotus behind your ear. "Now, I have two things worth admiring." he said, smiling as he pulled you close for a quiet, grateful embrace.
