I'm boutta say something unpopular buuuut i feel that mysterio would have made a better villain for homecoming.
Now, hear me out. Parker, newly back from Germany, tries to display his new prowess against the elemental monsters and fails and then the whole mysterio shows up thing happens. We get a good setting up of spideychelle from the first film itself.
Mysterio's main motivation is the fact his life's work was taken away from him and he was never given credit. Now, post endgame this doesn't make much sense cuz hey, the whole world just ENDED, there was an APOCALYPSE and this dude is still crying over his work. No one would join him, ya know.
Buttt, post civil war, it makes more sense because now the public's general trust in superheroes is waning after the accords drama (also makes the spidey accusation at the end believable and more likely). Mysterio swoops in when the avengers are broken and scattered and spiderman is the only one who is there to pick up the pieces whilst ofc struggling with school and shit.
