chapter two: the champions

November 1st, 1994 — It’s the moment the entire school has been waiting for. Halloween is over, and Professor Dumbledore gathers everyone after the feast to announce the chosen champions. The Triwizard Tournament is about to start, and the tension is palpable in the air. Without any delay, the Goblet of Fire lights up, red fire coming from it for the first time. 

Durmstrang’s champion is Viktoria Krum! The chamption for Beauxbatons is Fleur Delacour! Hogwarts’ champion is Cedric Diggory!

One by one the selected students stand up and walk away towards the trophy room, surrounded by cheers and applause. Everything seems to be normal, Professor Dumbledore is ready to give a little speech about the tournament and the Triwizard Cup - but suddenly, the unexpected happens. The Goblet lights up again, spitting a fourth piece of paper. 

Harry Potter!

Everyone knows the name, even the foreign students. The fourth year boy with glasses and a lightning shaped scar across his forehead seems terrified as he walks up towards the headmaster and the teachers. Everyone sees him disappear behind the tables. It seems like there’s a fourth champion in play. This year got even more interesting that everyone had initially thought. 

The in game dates will go from the night of November 1st to November 20th when the chapter about the first task will start. This section is longer than the previous one and it’s a good chance for all the players to wrap up the previous interactions and start new ones. From this moment on, second characters are allowed. The Tournament has officially started!

Hello readers and players! We’ve been having an amazing couple of weeks here at Tournament HQ. I want to thank everyone for being so wonderful and I can’t believe how talented you all are. It’s been a pleasure to write with you so far!

I will be posting the second chapter of the roleplay tomorrow, and the plot will move forward. Old threads can continue, new ones have to start, and it’s allowed to modify the time of the current ones if it fits as well! This is a time to keep plotting and give direction to your interactions!

The other big news is that tomorrow all players will be allowed to take up second characters! So if there’s someone who catches your eye, let me know! The application process is the same it was for the first one. And if you’ve been lurking but you haven’t applied yet, this is your time too! There are a lot of major roles open and ready for you to roleplay them. Acceptances happen almost daily, and it’s as easy as messaging me and telling me who you want to play. Check out the characters page to see if your favourite character is available, and the how to apply section for more information on how to be a part of the roleplay. I’d personally love to write with you!

chapter one: the goblet of fire

1994  — It’s the beginning of a very agitated school year for Hogwarts students. No one has quite gotten over what happened at the Quidditch World Cup. The Dark Mark is still engraved in some people’s memories, the screams, the fire, the destruction. Some children have seen their parents shake in fear for the first time; fear of a past threatening to return. 

But now you’re safe in the castle; and everything is merriment and joy. Professor Albus Dumbledore gives the welcoming speech as always. Alastor Moody is appointed new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. However, something is odd, there’s a different atmosphere tonight. That’s when you find out.

Hogwarts is hosting The Triwizard Tournament this year. 

In the course of the following month everything is anticipations and nerves. The foreign schools arrive, the excitement grows, and the Goblet of Fire is presented and placed in the middle of the great hall. Those students of age are able to put their names in it. The champions will be announced during the Halloween feast, on the night of November 1st. 

The in game dates will go from the morning of October 30th to the early evening of November 1st. In the course of those days, all kinds of interactions can happen, and all the characters who are of age can put their names in the Goblet of Fire. This chapter will end with the Halloween feast, and the selection of the champions. From this moment on, Tournament hq is officially open!

Hello readers, and players! Almost everyone has sent the accounts in, and while we wait for the rest - and maybe for some more applications to come - what better thing to do than to start plotting and getting to know each other? In order to do this, there are a couple of things we can start with: 

Like or comment on this post and you’ll get a message with some prompts/scenarios. You’ll use those to contact another player and start plotting, maybe build some sort of connection, or even the roots for a future interaction. 

Ask memes! Reblog questionnaires, FMK, truth or dares, moodboards, headcanons, everything you can find, feel free to bring it on the dash!

And for those who haven’t applied for a character yet, this is the best time to do it! From now on and until everyone has sent their blogs in, acceptance is immediate. So check out the characters page and let me know if someone catches your attention!

Hello readers! I’m about to start messaging the applicants to let them know they can start sending their accounts. Once everyone’s in, I’ll post the follow links and we’ll start roleplaying shortly. But that doesn’t mean your chances are over! Actually, it’s the opposite! From now, until everyone sends me their blogs, acceptance is pretty much immediate. Yes, you read it correctly; you message me, tell me which character and face claim you want, you write the application and I’ll give you feedback that very same day so you can send in your account as soon as possible!

So this is the very best moment to join us! There are two open slots available still, and a ton of open characters! I personally would love to see some more Gryffindors in the house, like Fred and George Weasley or Oliver Wood! But anyone you want will be fantastic! Check out the characters page and let me know if someone catches your attention. As always, the owlery is open for any questions, suggestions, comments, or anything you want to tell me!

Hello readers! How are you today? It’s with great pleasure that I announce that all the skeletons are out now! That means we’re getting closer and closer to the start. I’m going to be posting the application samples between today and tomorrow, so everyone who’s still working on their app or is about to has a template in case they need to use it. 

As for feedback and acceptances, I’ll wait until there are a couple more roles taken and I will be messaging all the applicants to let them know they can start sending their accounts to the main. It’s going to be a busy weekend for sure! Feel free to message me if you have any questions, suggestions, comments, or anything you want to tell me. There are a lot of available characters still, and all you had to do to take up any of them is send me an owl!

Hello readers! How are you all? This is tournament-hq’s first official admin post, and I just wanted to thank you all for the amount and support and love you’ve showing this past week. I have no words, and you’re all the absolute best! Tonight I’m going to start posting the skeletons! I will start with the ones that have been requested so far, but feel free to send me a quick message asking for more as I do! I want to know who you guys want to see first! 

Remember that as soon as the skeleton is posted, you’re allowed to message me in order to snatch a role. Like I explained in the how to apply? section, I’ll ask you to fill in the application form and then the role will be officially yours. It’s super simple, and there are sixteen characters and three open slots waiting for someone like you to bring them to life! 

Last but not least, I wanted to thank a group of amazing people that helped make this place what it is now. So a big round of applause to @blackcanarywrites who was so kind to help with the graphic and promo designs; and also to @roman-winter & @chrysalis-writes that allowed me to use some of their amazing ideas for the characters section of this group.
