I'm pretty happy with my idea #I need to finish the scripts actually u_u #I don't need a ton to truly have a full first draft I just need to lock in #and fun fact: I might actually thralls a bit more than planned because my whole plans started to change #due to a lot of small things both good and bad #very stressful for my money but I think less stressful overall #and so I get to breathe a little bit again

That being said (re: Thralls being paused), I think I miiiight cook up a surprise for OoT's remake release, or alternatively for Thralls' birthday (which might be the same day actually), but it all depends on Circumstances, some of which might be outside of my control.

But. Could be fun.

That being said, sometimes I wonder if Thralls wouldn't benefit from a ATLA style recap reel at the start of the episodes to just, reexplain the timeline shenanigans, where the split happened, what did happen and what didn't happen in this specific reality, because it's the most confusing part of the story by far and a lot of the dialogue gets bogged down by reexplaining Timeline Shit, which is more confusing than helpful in many cases (and also not super interesting)

My issue is that it would completely fuck up the current pacing I had planned, but vOv perhaps it would still help I don't know

#thoughts #thralls of power #thrallposting #one of the structural decision starting episode 2 is that almost every episode starts with a flashback #so I don't know where I would even place an ATLA-style recap #when I have accounted for the transition from flashback to main episode in the scripts #and having a recap beforehand... I don't know it might weaken some openings #I don't know!

loosely working on the Thralls scripts and I really really like them but also I can't fucking believe I saw The Legend of Zelda Nintendo of Japan and went wow and what if I took this little silly story for children and turned it into the most gothic shit imaginable

#thoughts #thrallposting #tbh it could get even more Traditional Gothic than this #but I think subtext and things unsaid and Potential for worst things #is more powerful than exploring them upfront #tbh the second I decided Impa and Ganondorf would be the protagonists we were fully cooked #there was far too much eyeliner and stoic suffering per meter squared involved as a baseline for things not to go sideways real fast #if you meet a certain benchmark of protagonists dressing in dark colors and brooding in dark halls #your story Will start to be about social structures of prolonged decay and unprocessed grief masquerading as golden ages #I don't make the rules sorry u_u
