She wasn’t angry or spiteful, she was bored. Alcohol laced her veins, she could still taste the vodka on her tongue, and all she wanted was chaos. It was what fun was, wasn’t it? Charlie couldn’t recall the last time she had sought out a victim to toy with on her own, although it was likely the booze and drugs fault and not Jace’s. All she knew, or more specifically, had on her mind was to find her second victim for the night. Jace would naturally be the first one. She adored the way his eyes set on fire and fists clenched when rage built up before anyone was unable to stop him. Her hazel eyes scanned the bar much like they had when she found him. It wasn’t easy because she had to find someone that she could be attracted to, she had to make sure that it looked real because she was sure Jace would do nothing but laugh if he could tell that it was fake. She wouldn’t allow that.
It didn’t take her long to single out a tall, dark haired guy with tattoos. He was just her type and would serve his purpose well. After that, it was far too easy. All Charlie had to do was bat her eyelashes and she had him eating out of her palm. She didn’t particularly want to spend too much time with her, and likely Jace’s, victim but it had to be done right for the result she so insanely craved. Her body inched closer for each passing second, hands wandering as did his. For now, he had her undying attention to ensure that it looked like more than a game; she wanted Jace to see that she wasn’t his, that if he wanted her, he had to fight. She let his hands explore her lower back and ultimately ass while she leaned closer, warm breath on his neck before she placed a soft kiss to his skin to leave her mark. Eyes admired the residues of red lipstick on his neck before she let out a laugh. It was genuine but it didn’t roll off her lips because of his joke but because excitement swelled beneath her skin as she waited for the ultimate gift.
Without thought, Charlie pressed her lips against his in a rough kiss that he greedily responded to. It was almost too easy and perhaps if she had a conscious, or sympathy, or any other remotely human feeling, she wouldn’t have led him into chaos and violence. But she only knew that it was feelings that she missed, not what they actually felt like. All she wanted was violent, relentless chaos that set fire to her insides and she knew that Jace was willing to give it to her through any means possible. Naturally it was even better when he wasn’t expecting it. She abruptly ended the kiss, tilting her head back to admire his blissful and so, so unaware face before she practically felt his presence. Her head turned, hazel eyes seeking out Jace’s with a wicked grin tugging at the corner of her lips. Anticipation swelled under her skin and she knew the fun had only just begun.
