Mari may have invited people over for an after party, but shortly after the Homecoming Court announcement, she had decided she had had enough. No way was Greer actually just sending messages in the campus chat like it was no big deal....right? After sending her text after text after text and still not getting an answer, Mari turned to handling things the way Mari handled things best. Shoving her emotions down and partying. Which meant she was more than on the way to being wasted as she stumbled downstairs, a look of confusion on her face when she bumped into someone who decidedly wasn’t a sister, momentarily forgetting she had invited everyone over earlier in the night. It clicked a second later, her face brightening up - as much as Mari Zuko’s face ever appeared bright. “You came!” she squealed, throwing her arms around the other person - another sure sign of her intoxication. “I’m so happy you did.”

The worst possible person for Nate to run into at the moment was Parker. Truly, it could only be worst if she was actively with Nat, so he supposed he could at least be thankful for that. Regardless, after the....heated moment with Rhiannon outside, he didn’t exactly want to deal with running into an ex. Any one, actually. But especially an ex. He had taken off his jacket, holding it with one arm in front of himself as he intended to slip out of the gala, or find Rhia again, or...he didn’t even really know. But of course, instead, he found himself face to face with Parker, eyes meeting hers with the slightest hint of shock, though no one should ever be surprised to run into Parker Walsh at a gala. “Congrats on the homecoming queen thing or whatever,” he said, the words sounding like the opposite of a congratulations as he spoke them, though he was just hoping that Parker wouldn’t notice the, uh, evidence of his dalliance outside.

“Yo,” Nate said, making little effort at a polite greeting as he reached out to grasp Monty’s shoulder, not waiting for him to finish his transaction with the student in front of him before Nate interrupted. “Got anything good on you?” he asked, a scowl settling onto his face as he crossed his arms over his chest, leaning against the wall beside Monty. “This shit already blows.”

“How in the world do you get your hair so white?” Jacqui asked, transfixed on the blonde girl standing in front of her, even though they had never been introduced. “I’ve tried to do pieces of mine so many times and always end up dying them back black because it just goes yellow so quickly,” they added with a pout, reaching out to play with the ends of the other hair, even though the same action in return would absolutely infuriate them. Blame the overt touchiness on the molly they had done before coming to the gala.

Jacqui slid back into the bathroom, eyes wide as they took in the scene of Leo still posted up, head tipping to one side. “No Rhia?” they asked, fingers drumming a rhythm against their thigh from where their hand rested as the molly still in their system vibrated through their veins, making them unable to hold still with how antsy they were. They had slipped in as another presumed customer had come out, so Jacqui wasn’t entirely surprised to see that it was just their bandmate in there, though a small smile curled across their lips anyways. “Sell everything at this point or you have anything left for us to have some more fun?” they slyly said, raising an eyebrow up at him.
