Having finally bundled Stevie and Win into an uber, Jasmine had fired off a text to Pip and asked him to keep her little girl distracted for a little while longer as she got herself home before them. She’d managed to give the place a quick tidy before fixing her costume and making herself look presentable by the time they arrived. Zara had been so excited to see her mama as Aisha, so it would have been a real shame for her to only catch her looking worse for wear with bags under her eyes. At the knock on her door, Jasmine hurried to pull it open, excited to see her baby girl and feel the familiar weight of her launching herself into her arms. Instead, the sight that greeted her was much worse.
“You little traitor!” Jasmine gasped, lips parting as she stared at the two of them. Hands clasped together with her arms thrown around Pip’s neck, her little Fairy had managed to climb onto the back of her mama’s very own nemesis!
Smiling fondly, she rolled her eyes before letting her gaze drift to Pip’s, who was looking annoyingly smug and even more annoyingly pretty in his ridiculous, smudged makeup.
“Nex would never do this to me,” she berated him, fully aware he had no idea what she was talking about.
