“Well, I know it looks thin”, she replied while folding the only old mattress she used to sleep, “It actually is thin… But it’s not that bad. It could be worse”. And Sunbi knew it really could. When she was still traveling around Europe with her friends, they had to get very creative sometimes. “And to not forget, this thing has history”.
Her tiny apartment was still smelling the oranges she used in the morning to make a tea, but as soon as the woman opened the small window, the renewed air made all the work to make it go away. Sunbi actually liked the fruit scent, anyways. “When I was in Changwon, I lived in a room with four more people. It was a mess, to be honest, even though I enjoyed being around them”, she started her little story telling, opening the fridge to get a jar of juice out of it, “Now I have this. I know it’s not the dream place, but it’s working. I can’t complain”.
