Initially, she had been in an dilemma whether to go meet Marcel at his work place or his home considering the subject of the thing she wanted to discuss with him but eventually settled on going to his office which was closer than going across the river. It was a Friday evening and almost all had left the usually busy except Ivy at the front desk whom she had shared a friendly smile and a small talk with before entering the Mayor’s office. “Remember me Mr. Mayor? Or now that I have stopped pestering you, did you finally decide to move on?” Caroline asked the older vampire with a cheeky grin as she let the door close behind her.
