How long had it been since he had been in Saffron City? Far too long, he told himself as he approached the doors of the Gym. He wasn't quite sure why he hadn't been here in so long, since Sabrina was one of the calmer and more relaxed members of the Gym system in Kanto.
It would do him some good to get back to that. He had been so caught up in the excitement of everything that sometimes, to sit back and unwind and simply talk sounded great. Also, there was Halloween coming up, and with that, he figured he could go around and perhaps get her in the spirit.
Now, with his Arcanine by his side, and an urge for witty banter in his head, he approached the doors of the Gym. He walked in, along with Charcoal, and he took a few glances around.
“I’m here! Trick or treat!”
That’s how the cool kids announced themselves, right? Right.
