There’s no mistaking those massive red wings and that swept back ash-blond hair. Shinsou has only ever seen him on television so to see him in the flesh feels all too surreal to him. Is he starstruck? Maybe a bit. He’s not sure. But is he relieved to see a familiar face in this area? Definitely. While the no. 2 hero may not be the first recognizable person Shinsou had hoped of seeing here, it’s still better than being amongst suspicious strangers.

Not that he trusts Hawks a hundred percent either.

Shoot, he’s coming this way. 

Right, maybe he is a bit more starstruck than he initially thought. But who wouldn’t be? He may not be a big Hawks fan, but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s looking at someone who has been officially ranked as the no. 2 Pro Hero in the Hero Billboard Chart. Of course, he doesn’t care much about that chart either but ranking that high is still damn impressive. 

❝Um— ah— erm...❞ Shinsou attempts to greet the blond the second he’s about to pass by but not a single coherent word could slip past his lips.

In times of need Eloise had found churches comforting. During her time in care as a young child, she often found comfort in the Nuns at the children’s home. She cried often for her mother and father, seeking them in the darkness that stood before her, when a Sister had suggested seeking guidance from God. “He will light the way for you child.” The Nun had said, her words remaining with Elle for years after. 

Yet, her faith had dwindled, faltering with each hardship life threw at her. If there was a God, then surely he was not as powerful as she was lead to believe. If he was truly omnipotent, then he had the power to stop the suffering of man, yet he did not; if he was truly omnipresent, then he was very much aware of the suffering. Ultimately, if God was who he was said to be, then he must be cruel and uncaring. 

Eloise had driven to the church without thought, yet now that she had arrived, she could not bring herself to enter. Key in ignition, Eloise restarted her car, unaware of the approaching figure. It was the knock at the window that forced her attention to shift.

Anni filed the man's name away in her person archive, ready to pull it out when he arrived at her door. Mr James told her, then, that he was a journalist. Great. He wasn't even an investigator! Just some chump with a pen and paper chasing after rumours and 'last seen with's. Anni was looking forward to having Christa found, not written about. She sighed, bidding him farewell.

As soon as the phone was placed back in its cradle, Anni shot up out of the armchair and rushed into her bedroom. She had to shower away the evening's stench, clean her face, brush her teeth, and style her hair. Makeup came after choosing a casual-yet-sultry outfit that would make the man want to help her find Christa. Anni knew what she'd wear, and how her makeup would be applied, but she had approximately less than an hour. She had to do the best she could, given her time frame.

Anni dried and tousled her hair into a messy bun atop her head. As for outfit, she decided on soft colours and softer fabrics. When she was finally done applying a strong stroke of charcoal eyeliner, Anni heard a knock at the door. Shit! she hissed through her teeth.

With an ease of grace only acquired after several years of practice, Anni made it to the front door of her flat. With a quick, faltering breath, the young woman unlocked and opened the door.

{ Ⅳ } Oh great, another roommate he had to deal with. What kind of shitty housing was this? He had wanted to live on his own, and now two annoying roommates were thrust into his lifestyle.

His first roommate (Loki) was already scathingly infuriating; to the point where IV was tempted to throw the redhead out of the window in his sleep. But at least this newcomer seemed liked someone he could easily step on and play with. The red-blonde was rather pissed internally, and someone had to take the brunt of his anger.

Maybe he would even be nice, and give his new roommate a little fanservice.
