Ok, so America was very different than Canada, and wisconsin very different to Ontario... and point place very different from Degrassi.
Mia was finding it hard to adjust, both on the social aspect, and the fact that no grocery store carried ketchup flavoured crisps. What the actual hell? On the bright side, Mia being a single mother of a three year old at seventeen seemed to be less shocking here than it had been in Degrassi. Sure the judgemental looks still came her way, but in far less numbers and pretty consistently from older women, so at least it was predictable. At this point Mia was doing her best to take it one day at a time, and keep her head above water.
At least she'd found a local grocery store she liked enough to frequent it. With Izzy being looked after by her mom, Mia welcomed the small break of time to herself, made shopping a lot easier without a toddler asking for everything that came in brightly coloured packaging. However it sounded like someone else did not have that luxury today. From an isle over Mia heard what sounded like a disgruntled parent trying really hard to get a baby to stop crying.
Curious, the teen poked her head around the corner to see a ... well quite frankly really attractive guy fussing with a baby. Poor man looked clueless and out of sorts, which is why Mia decided to be nosey and try to help. She pushed her cart down the isle and then abandoned it to approach, a smile on her face as she addressed him.
"Well someone's fussy today." A pretty innocent comment that started a conversation without implying blame anywhere, she hoped that was good enough. Babies get fussy, that wasnt anyone fault. Besides his answer would tell her if he was new at this or just having trouble.
