To be fair, she wasn’t much older than 10 when she had to fend for herself and her family, but to see that as the norm was... odd, to say the least.

Lusamine was certain that she had seen this woman before. Of course, she did catch sight of a familiar face now and again as she drifted through the halls of Aether Paradise like a ghost of the past (Faba and Wicke remained, as did Gladion and, regrettably, Ricardo Carillo, though she could hardly bear to look at any of them for longer than a moment at a time), but much of them were strangers to her now, visitors, new hires, or otherwise old employees she’d not bothered getting to know.
This woman couldn’t have been part of foundation staff (she wore no uniform), but still she conducted herself with the certainty of someone who had been to the facility many times before. Lusamine doubted she was anyone important, which made her intrigue quite senseless, but she found herself intrigued all the same.
“Have... we met?”
Only belatedly did Lusamine seem to realize that she had verbalized the question. She blinked, as if in surprise at herself, before attempting to explain.
“Forgive me-- Somehow... Your face is so familiar to me.” She briefly looked the woman over, made a quick deduction. “Are you visiting someone? Perhaps I can be of help.”

Something in Pokemon that made me go Yikes
So when I was first adding in the R project stuff with Vexis, is when I got to watch the Live Action detective Pikachu movie.
And when that vile, full of purple stuff showed up, and affected the Aipoms.
That whole scene had me on the edge of my chair. 1. Because I didn't realize that was in the games / movie, and the minute I saw that vile. I knew chaos was coming xD (Tbh that scene just made me want to build on my own headcanons after I got over the initial Yikes moment)
