“But of course!” he chimed.  Wow, they were precious when they acted like they weren’t interested. 

“But the big question is definately what we should do? Do they have any of those cool arcades around here? I haven’t hit Galaga in so long!” He boasted, another laugh making his broad chest bouce with each chuckle.

As far as job offers for a criminal organization go, this is pretty chill. And if Balor really is the kind of man he seems to be, then he won’t hold it against her if she refuses. She hopes that’ll be the case because she must refuse.

Then, Cataleya fixes him with a curious look. “Since I told you why I’m with Skull, I think it’d be fair if you tell me why you’re with Rocket… Deal?”

“Deal.” He told her simply. “But Ladies first.” he winked.  He didn’t mind sharing his story in the least. He was proud to be a Rocket, and he was proud of how far he came from where he started. He was older. And he was probably roughly around her age when he joined....How old was she again?  Nevermind. He knew he was old. 

But he could also see her potential. It was what Giovanni saw in him so long ago.

     She then pauses before grinning, almost laughing.

     “Y’ain’t intimidating! Yer a fuckin’ softy.”

“Hmm.. I’d love to help, but honestly? I got these so long ago that I can’t even remember where to buy that sort of thing. And I doubt I have any lingering around...I can go check tho.” he told her.  “And I’m not that soft! I’m hard when I have to be!” he pouted.

The assessment wasn’t wrong. He did very much like being teased. Especially by Balor. “A muscle head with a sharp eye..” he muttered, pushing just a little harder. He wasn’t going to stop though.

He would probably do anything for that warm and comfortable smile that his careful hands had brought forth. It was so familiar somehow. “Grazie. I am quite good, si.”

Balor let out another low gravely growl at the intense pain her felt in the knot they pushed on. Only to chuckle and lean his head to the side and back to look at him. 

“Is there...anything I can do to repay this act of kindness?” he mused then. Looking to them with half lidded eyes.

“That’s a hard question to answer…” says Cataleya, setting her own tray of empty dishes aside for the server to take. All that’s left is her pot of green tea.

Now that she thinks about it, her reason for being part of Team Skull has changed over the years. She used to be idealistic, thinking that she was making some kind of difference. Now, though? She really isn’t that sure.

“I can tell you why I joined, at least.” She sits up a bit straighter. “I was young, kind of angry, and ‘fighting the system’ sounded like a good idea. You see, I used to want to be a Trial Captain and…it didn’t work out. But, as bitter as I was, I quickly learned just how much the system affects people, especially those who’ve had it a lot harder than me…”

Guzma, Plumeria, and most of her friends quickly come to mind.

“In the end, I stayed because I wanted to help. I guess that’s more or less why I’m still here, but things have a way of getting complicated.”

“Complicated huh.....” he mused on that notion for a moment. Drinking his water before pushing the glass to the side.  “Well. Sounds like the organization has grown...or could it be possible you’ve outgrown the organization and may want to try....bigger things.” he shrugged. 

“All I’m saying....Is you could do some amaaaazing things in Rocket. AND you get to hang out with devilish good lookin’ men like myself.” he beamed.  “But I’m just voicing my thoughts....Don’t wanna pressure you into Rocket or anything.” he winked.

“Exciting huh? Yeah sure, I know something exciting.” He motioned for Balor to follow, after stealing another beer from the pack. As usually, he and Roc were jogging ahead, constantly stopping to tell Balor to be faster until they reached the beach. Not just any beach however, the Mantine Beach.

            It was closed and the Mantine were asleep, but that did not stop Jacks from making Roc tear a hole into the fence and get inside. “You ever been Mantine Srufing?” Probably not, that was gonna make it even funnier. Riding the waves in the middle of the night. 

      “It’s fucking amazing.” 

“Mantine Surfing?!” He blinked. “You can surf those things?!” Balor chimed, damn near dropping the case of alcohol, possibly causing more noise for the two to get in trouble with.  He carefully placed it down and peered out into the fence, catching sight of the equipment and pokemon.  “Yeah?” he ducked down under the fence, following the other two.  “Well...I’m damn curious now.” he told him. Looking onto his shoulder to make sure his Stunky was still close by.

OOHHHH MAN MY HYPE IS REAL I’m still insanely attached to Pokemon Sun and Moon but I’m ready for something new!  And honestly, this new gen is starting to really shape up. I’m really excited over all the potential it has.  (Also coming soon postcard prints!)

“When you get to know me, then Yeah I could see that. But otherwise? I’m a big scary Pangoro” He chuckled at the mentioning of her ear. Her rubbed his chin and pondered for a moment. “I may have some tapers laying around somewhere. I haven’t messed with them in a while just because I like the size of mine and where they are at now” He reached up and popped the plug back into place. Adjsting it a bit.

“Yer’d look great with one! A nice big spike, y'know? Right in’t’ center.” And now she’s grinning like a maniac but then stops, peering at his left ear with a squint. “Is tha’ stretched or jus’ a poser thin’?”

“Oh geez Uh Shay-hun. Uh.. People think I’m already pretty intimidating as it is. Adding a spike to my face really wouldn’t help with that I’m afraid.” he laughed nervously. 

“But no, their stretched!” he reached up to his ear and pulled the plug out before sticking his pinky into the hole. “See!”

Balor patiently waited for the woman to get her words out. He was used to this sort of reaction from people. And he knew he was pretty intimidating to look at, or even approach. So he lowered himself down into a chair and leaned forward a bit. So his form wasn’t so damn foreboding. “No such thing as a weird question.”He told her, hoping to put her at some ease. “But of course! Absolutely I can help! Use me in anyway you need.” He offered a big grin.
