Christmas present to myself 🖤 I’ve been really looking forward to this one
Seeking Hands of Apostasy
I am calling out into the tumblr void of witches… I have been hunting for a copy of The Hands of Apostasy published by Three Hands Press a number of years ago. I am DYING to read it but I cannot find any copies anywhere. Does anyone have one and is willing to sell it to me (or trade for some similar consideration)?
‘Diana’ by Adrienne Rozzi
It is with great joy and excitement that I reveal "Chalice", an image from a special project that has been years in the making! Since 2019, I have had the pleasure of working to create a collection of illustrations for the forthcoming title 'Lexicon Lamiarum: A Lexicon of Witchcraft,' published by Three Hands Press. Drawing its essence from demonological books of the 14th - 16th centuries, Lexicon Lamiarum is a compendium of witchcraft concepts from Greek Antiquity to the present and will feature over 60 new drawings, into which I’ve poured the very heart of my artistic passion and soul! The book spotlights the often-overlooked, shadowed, and perhaps unfavorable aspects of witchcraft throughout history. Inspired by these subjects, I’ve built a collection of illustrations that stands apart in the overall pantheon of my artwork. The body of work featured in Lexicon Lamiarum feels like its own entity— ominous, dark, and sexual with an assertive air of otherness that lingers long after viewing. It was truly exalting to work with one of my favorite authors and artists, Daniel Schulke, whose art direction encouraged me to elevate and hone my skills, resulting in a maturation of my style that is acutely detailed, engrossing, and haunting. Since discovering Three Hands Press many years ago, they quickly became one of my favorite publishers of occult books and it became a lifelong dream of mine to illustrate for them so, needless to say, it was a dream come true to work on this project and, after 4 years of research and development 'behind the veil', I am ecstatic to finally share news of it with you. Lexicon Lamiarum: A Lexicon of Witchcraft will be released in Autumn of this year by Three Hands Press. The softcover edition of the book will soon be available for pre-order through Amazon. All editions of the book will be available for pre-order from Three Hands Press in August, 2023. 🔮
After a five year wait, an unwanted cancellation of my pre-order and a subsequent, and much more costly, re-order it finally arrived today. Daniel A. Schulke's massive tome The Green Mysteries. This beast is much bigger than I expected, and a thing of beauty.
Have not had time to read more than a few snippets so far, but it seems promising.
The lion, the witch, & the audacity of this bitch
Also, while I’m thinking of it:
Three Hands Press up in here like Lucy with the football.
