Geralt and Regis have a long sit down with Saskia to discuss the future.
Regis, Geralt!” Saskia began to stand.
“Dinner, Saskia.” Regis said flippantly, staring her down. “Dinner, and then we need to have a chat.”
Saskia looked taken aback as she started to sit back down and Jackdaws frowned next to her.
“We are here on an invite from Geralt’s old friend,” Regis said and Geralt was caught completely off guard by his sudden forwardness. “We humbly accept this invite, but we know full well that it’s not for a friendly chat. So, food first, drink, and then I will speak. You will listen and then we can have a discussion. Is that clear?”
I feel like my lovely ladies Téa and Véa, don't get enough love.
"Véa, was one of two Zerrikanian warriors, along with Téa, who accompanied Borch Three Jackdaws wherever he went. He liked to refer to them as his weapons and rightfully so, as their sword skills with their sabres were unmatched."
I don't agree with the "his weapons" as it implies ownership, but it is in the book.

Emhyr deals with the aftermath of the attempted coup.
“I am not under your rule, Emhyr.” Meve glared at him.
“No, you are not.” Emhyr agreed, nodding. “However, you are my guests, and I am trying ever so hard to prove to my southern lords that the northern lands are filled with people and places just as great as their own. One of the hardest things to shake in all this, is the idea that the north is filled with uncultured barbarians. One I know for a fact is not true as I have been to the north, been to Tretogor and Ard Carraigh in Kaedwen. Beautiful places, beautiful people.”
“Ah, but they are only beautiful if you are not different.” It was Three Jackdaws. “Their cultures, their music, their food even! I cannot rave enough about northern food. What little they get; they make excellent use of. But heaven help you if you are a species whose names don’t begin with H. But I do believe we are getting far from the topic at hand. We have brought you a gift, the betrayers. And one more should be arriving…”
‘That which represents Chaos is menace, is the aggressive side. While Order is the side being threatened, in need of protection. In need of a defender.’ - Three jackdaws
