The mages of Three Mages Walk Into a War, made using Artbreeder and some editing!
You know, I don’t think I ever posted this!
A while back, I commissioned @pugletto for art for my ongoing fic Three Mages Walk Into A War (yes it is still ongoing I promise). I love it so much, I don’t know why I never posted it yet!
I can tell when @autisticinquisitor is writing because I get awesome questions like "Do you think Zevran would try to give {redacted} sex advice?"
Inquisitor Amell, I'm writing in regards to the Grey Wardens of Orlais. I understand how serious their crimes are, but I ask for mercy. Exile them if you must, but know that those wardens could be powerful allies to the inquisition. They're worthy fighters, hard men and women who could be of immense value to you. Warden-Commander Alim Surana, Arl of Amaranthine
Commander Surana,
I believe you may have been given some false information when you addressed your missive. I am not, in fact, the Inquisitor. For which I am thankful, as I do not need the additional set of headaches that position brings.I am, however, serving as Inquisitor’s Lavellan and as her liaison to the Wardens, so I believe I am uniquely qualified to address your concerns.Officially, the Inquisitor has not yet made her ruling known as to the fate of the Orlesian Wardens.Unofficially--and as one Warden to another--I assure you, the Inquisitor has every intention of showing mercy. She understands the potential the Wardens as allies, and she has a great deal of respect for the Wardens besides. They will be given a chance to work with the Inquisition and prove themselves once more.I will not lie to you, it will not be an easy road for the Wardens. They have broken the trust placed in them by the Orlesian people, and their numbers have been reduced both by the battle and by their own actions. The Inquisition will lend what support it can, but at a certain point it is up to the Wardens themselves to restore their reputation. It is my hope--both as a Warden and as a member of the Inquisition--that their assistance will be beneficial to everyone involved. And, My Lord Surana, if I may be honest... Corypheus is too real a threat to dismiss any potential support, much less that of the people with the most experience fighting Darkspawn. I don’t know if you were close enough to feel the pull of the false Calling, but it was... powerful. Even knowing that it wasn’t real, even knowing that we had a duty to stop it, it was one of the worst things I’ve had the misfortune to experience. If Corypheus is capable of this, I don’t want to see what he might do if we are not strong enough to stop him.To that end, Warden-Commander, I would like to extend an official offer of cooperation with the Inquisition. We believe that you and your people would be valuable allies, and, in return, we will gladly do what we can to help with our interests--including sharing my own research on the Blight and the nature of Darkspawn corruption.
Regards,
Tamsyn Arainai néeAmellFormer Warden-Enchanter of FereldenAdvisor to Inquisitor Lavellan
