Two bowls of cereal and unnecessary snacking but I still have to be up early to make breakfast, change diapers, play, read, etc. etc. It's more than just a bad day. I just want them to be happy. I want to be able to make them happy. I want to feel like I'm doing something right. I want to not feel so damn selfish.

My children are fun, energetic, smart, clever, sweet, tough, and so wonderfully beautiful. As their mother it is my duty to nurture and teach and love and entertain and etc.. No matter what. So when we have more than a few bad days--those "just getting by, waiting til the end of the day" kinds of days-- I can't help but to feel like an utter failure.

Nearly eight and they’re still awake. These past few weeks have been so hard. We have only been out of this house twice in almost three weeks. Literally, twice. Two times. I’m about to lose my fucking mind. I’m trying so hard to not take out my frustration on them because it’s not their fault, I know they’re just as bored and frustrated as I am—if not more. I’m just so tired.
