Music was always a part of mans life, ahead of Spotify, ahead of Rock’n’Roll, ahead of Bach, ahead of the Renaissance with gregorian monks inventing the musical score, ahead of he middle ages, the Roman Empire, the Egypts, Mesopotamia… probably even ahead of the „Dawn of Man“ with the discovery of how to set fire.
With other words, those twelfe notes (in fact, most of the time only five of them) ruled the world for Thousends of years. They survived people like Caesar, Jesus, Napoleon, the inquisition, the black death, the depression… A little melody can be stronger than any tyrant, any saint, any Empire, any century.
If that ain’t magic, I don’t know what is.
So why it seems to be such a weird idea, that music can heal? Because of authority. When Sigmund Freud – kindasortof „The Boss“ - invented his psychoanalysis, unfortunately he based everything on talking.
A song about a psychiatrist and his patient. But who is who?
