Please share your Throbbcella headcanons you’ve got me shipping them!
Ohhh, I’ve so many headcanons on them I don’t even know where to start. (I also have a super long wip fic that I’ll never finish oof)
1. I have this idea which is partly confirmed in canon, of Myrcella getting the typical childish/teenager crush on Robb during the famous banquet in Winterfell. Ok, GRRM clearly writes that she’s smitten over him, so it’s clearly more than a headcanon. Anyways, in this AU, Robert decides to join their family with a double bond so Myrcella has to marry Robb, she also stays in Winterfell while everyone else goes south.
2. Robb is the knight in shiny armour and shows her everything there is to show, in the meanwhile, though, he has this sexual tension going on with Theon and he’s like “I know I have to marry her because this is my duty, and Myrcella is nice, but then there’s Theon and I don’t really know what to do”. Anyway, he’s happy when he sees that Theon and Myrcella get along (because they do).
3. Catelyn isn’t as happy as her son (especially since is a “everything is the same AU” so Bran is still comatose). She side-glares Myrcella and Theon when they are alone, and when she sees that they are sort of friends, she’s not pleased.
4. Myrcella sees how close Robb and Theon are, and one day she walks on them in the Gods Wood and they are too close and she understands that there’s something more. She knows that she has to marry Robb but that she can’t force him to love her (she doesn’t exactly know about Robert cheating on Cersei, but she suspects it because the guards can’t keep their mouths shut). She decides not to tell anyone and pretends nothing ever happened.
5. In the meanwhile, she has her first blood and so Robb and Myrcella get married. (In my mind this happens when Tyrion is back from the Wall so Tyrion is in Winterfell) Someone starts to ask for the bedding ceremony and so Theon decides to carry Myrcella himself toward Robb’s rooms so that the others won’t completely undress the princess who’s like super uncomfortable with the whole idea.
6. Before Robb leaves for the war, Myrcella tells to him that she knows about him and Theon and that she doesn’t care, if both of them are fine with that, she’s not bothered by the idea. She and THeon are friends and she cares about them both. (The fact that they won’t give birth to any bastards is totally a pro point).
7. When she knows that Robb has Jaime as a captive, she decides to reach Riverrun. She wants to speak with Jaime hoping that her position as both princess of the Seven Kingdoms and Queen in the North can help somehow.
8. While she is in Riverrun she starts to realize that, maybe, her friendship with Theon is something more than mere friendship. At first, she thinks she’s jealous of the Greyjoy ward because he gets to share more time with her husband, but then she realizes that she’d like to spend more time with both of them.
9. She tells this to Theon at first because she wants to understand how he feels about her (also she’s kind of surprised by her own feelings and everyone knows that Theon is more experienced). and when he tells her they both are on the same page, Myrcella confesses her attraction for Theon to Robb.
10. Robb knows that, despite him being the King in the North, they have to keep their relationship hidden to his people (also because he seems to always find himself into bed with the enemies of his family), but neither of them feels this like hiding a dirty secret.
I’m stopping these headcanons here because maybe one day I’ll finish the fic and I don’t want to reveal too much. No Red Weddings and Theon doesn’t go back to the Iron Islands in this AU because they are depressing and hurt my babies!
