GAMES I CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT (PART 2!)
Oops, here's four more games that have literally taken over my life recently, and it's criminal that I haven't talked about them!
Guenevere by @jeantownsend (IN DEVELOPMENT)
An IF series based on Arthurian legend, in which you take on the role of Queen Guenevere and navigate the political landscape of your new home, Camelot. Your love interests are your husband King Arthur, Lancelot, or Morgana, and regardless of the dynamic you choose to create here it is utterly compelling. They all quickly come to feel like old friends and it makes the story that unfolds feel so warm and comfortable, even as you face down assassins and war and uncomfortable love tangles. The series is yet unfinished, but the entire first book and a decent chunk of the second are available for free. I’ve been in love with this series for many years now but I revisited it recently and, god, it truly only grows finer with age.
Throne of Ashes by @13leaguestories (18+ optional)
Break the curse and uncover your fire.
Set in a gorgeous, sprawling fantasy world, this ambitious IF has some really cool concepts and set pieces that have stuck in my head ever since I first played it. Development is ongoing, but one character’s story (Ruben) is complete and available as a separate purchase—and another is set for imminent release. This one route is an entire novel in its own right, and one of the most satisfying reads I’ve had in a long, long time. It does have some very heavy themes, though the worst of them (sexual abuse, suicidal thoughts) are entirely optional. It is a story that is often sad, and painful, and rife with horrific injustice… but also hope, and love, and healing. And triumph.

a short 18+ otome about getting to know your new husband
A fairly short but emotionally packed VN in which you play a proud chieftain on the day of her wedding. Through your choices you decide if this arranged marriage is purely political or just maybe has the potential to be something beautiful and real. Yùzhàn, the love interest, is a deep and fascinating character, and getting to know him and (potentially) earning his trust feels like something truly special. If you enjoy the main game, I also urge you to seek out the extras, which tugged at my heartstrings something fierce.
Infamous by @infamous-if (18+) (IN DEVELOPMENT)
An already massive ongoing IF about music, friendship, fame, and reality TV. The cast is great, everything feels so detailed and real, and I genuinely can’t wait for what comes next. Four chapters are available so far, and when I tell you that each one of them is so m e a t y—you’ll be feasting for days! I am toxically enmeshed with my hot mess of a protagonist and support all their rights and wrongs, and I guarantee you there will be at least one love interest you fall head over heels for… if not all of them, like I did! (I'm hopelessly in love with my manager, but... there's this super cute normie dad who's really got my predator instincts activated... and my bitter ex who I just can't stop thinking about... and... and...)
