it’s a festive event, two dornish weddings, people dressed their best, food and drinks abundant, and two happy couples he has the pleasure of knowing. oberyn has made an effort to remain on his best behavior, even going as far as to dress down for the occasion. it’s a rare showing of self control, something many assume he couldn’t possibly possess. as oberyn watches the dance floor, surprisingly without a partner for himself, he can’t help but focus on the swirl of emotions inside of him. his eyes are drawn to alyse and ryon, the way they watch one another and the love you could practically feel rolling right off of them, and then to natari and trystan, gods his brother is a lucky man. it’s everything he’s ever wanted for his siblings, to marry for love. “they look so happy, don’t they?” he finds himself musing out loud to the nearest person to him.
a woman of many titles, most importantly one of the day’s brides, the former princess of the northern kingdom & the new lady of godsgrace is adorned in an extravagant, beaded, white paolo sebastian gown with a plunging neckline, her hair sits in a updo with more pins than she could ever bother to find again & a handful of loose curls framing her face, & a delicate pearl choker to match the quaint pearl tiara that she wears. the most important parts of her ensemble are allyrion wedding band with red stone and small hands of their sigil & a smile brighter than the sun.
the stark princess has opted to wear black to not only represent the house stark but as well to continue to keep representing the loss of her brother and uncle. however she has been persuaded by her closest companions and seamstress to step out of her comfort zone to wear a more revealing and youthful dress to accentuate both her figure and her age. from the front you can appreciate the dainty tiara of her family and from behind her hear is adorned by gold star pins.
the days following the execution pass slowly, halls filled with whispers and a lingering sense of dread. no one can deny that there is relief that there is no longer a traitor amongst their midst, but many have to wonder if he truly acted alone. and, if he did not, who among them could be capable of such violent acts ? it causes a familiar unease to settle upon king’s landing, no matter how much they attempt to will it away, and though the queen actively does her best to confirm the validity of his claims, there is only so much she can do. fealty is sworn again, and while some betrothals crumble in the face of everything going on, others are made. and some, some are made permanent.

for the wedding of princess alyse, selina wears a gown of black velvet and white lacework to look like snow as a little nod to the north as well as to show that her alliance with the starks still stands strong. for prince trustane’s wedding, she changes into a deep red velvet gown with thousands of gemstones adorning it and remains in that outfit for the remainder of the night. both gowns only have one sleeve as lina is a fashion bitch and is constantly trying new styles. her hair is very this and ofc she has her crown on.
@ferrumanes - his favourite role model, even if he doesn’t emulate most of warik’s merits atm.
“SO!” was his loud and jovial greeting as Roland clapped a hand over Warik’s shoulder as the younger man’s dancing feet came to a rest next to the taller male. “Please tell me that your wedding will be as grand as this one, or hells, even more awe-inducing. Because no way can we let the Targs show us up, eh?... By the way, you look as though you have not been drinking enough , brother, come,” he gestured invitingly after he had swiftly picked off two goblets of wine from a passing waiter and presented one to Warik.
she’d been fidgeting all day in her dress, hardly the picture of grace and confidence zara aspired to be. she’d managed to steal away whenever something in her attire bothered her, hiding as she shifted the dress or the tiara atop her head. which is exactly what she’d been doing, hidden off in an alcove where you could barely hear the music and chattering of the reception guests. with a quick shift, the dress is righted once more and zara moves to return to the festivities when she hears footsteps. “this hiding spot is taken, i’m afraid. though i suppose i could let you have it.” the princess says as if she wasn’t just leaving.
the second of the day’s brides, the former lady of skyreach & the new princess of dorne is adorned in a gorgeous golden embellished abhinav mishra lehenga set with a embroidered mirror details, she opted to leave her hair down & in curls along her back, & though hidden beneath her lehenga, she does sport a golden heel with golden details climbing the length of her leg as further homage to house martell, & a small charm on a chain on her wrist of a hawk gifted to her by her mother. a very radiant bride indeed, with her bright smile, even such an occasion doesn’t dull the spark she’d never once quieted for anyone. and especially not as a princess.
