Evening Prayer - 28 Nov 2020
Holy Oneness, you who are are in all and through all and in whom is all, thank you for your presence. Getting the technology to work has been a little overwhelming today. And it seems to take up much more time than any of us anticipates. And that left me feeling rushed with the rest of the preparations I need to make for tomorrow. That’s why I’m asking you to be especially present in my sermon, to be palpable for all those who gather for worship. Speak through me in my preaching. Help me to get out of your way. Amen.
Family
No matter if they are blood, marriage, long time known, or anything; as long as they love you that's what makes them real family. If they abuse you or hurt you intentionally in any way, that's not real family. Family loves you without bounds or limits, nothing could ever make them stop loving you, nothing. That is true family. There are no excuses, for faults in love towards family, there are no excuses to hurt intentionally in family. Real family can be found anywhere, in any place, in any town or city family is family, no matter what. Family does not have boundaries on where it can be found or obtained. Family, true family is what makes a person. Family isn't always who raises you, but who teaches you. Who saves you. Who keeps you safe in the end. And that is true family my friend.~
Eaters - Through All
This is the best God damn thing I have heard all week. I have had it on repeat for the last 45 minutes, and I have been acutely aware of the fact that I am in danger of slipping further into the void of insanity and anti-logic with each repetition. But instead of chaos, what I have found at the heart of this track is a story of unconditional love for one's family, and more than a small dose of the anxiety that can accompany it.
Rock on, Eaters. Rock the fuck on.
