I never knew how awesome the Lowell Observatory was until today! They discovered that Pluto existed nearly 90 years ago, they took images that helped us learn that the universe is constantly expanding more than 100 years ago, and they opened the incredibly versatile and phenomenal Discovery Channel Telescope in 2014! #ilovespace #wearestilllearning #perscientiumadastra #throughscience #tothestars #lowellobservatory

Shaun looks up from the stack of books balanced precariously in his arms, and for a moment, he’s struck speechless by the man towering over him. “Mr. Kellogg! Uh, no, I’m–” The pile nearly topples over; he has to take a quick step forward to keep it from falling, heart thudding in his ears. Doctor Watson is going to kill him if any of the Feynman lectures get damaged. “I can handle this.”
He can’t, but he doesn’t want to admit that to his hero.
It’s plenty obvious that the child can’t carry that entire load. It’s practically his weight in literature and one misplaced step from being scattered papers on the floor. But, hey, if the kid says he can handle it.
“Oh, yeah? Well, by all means..” The mercenary drawls, stepping aside and looking to the boy expectantly. He can predict the few likely outcomes of letting the kid carry this crap on his own.. Call this a learning experience for him.
“Well?... Go on...”
