HAPPY @gallacrafts DAY STARLIGHTS! I'm baaaaccck 🥰🥰🥰 After taking a break with the last two themes (which i will post tba). I've collaborated with the darling Ling @lingy910y to create this adorable throwback to the theme breakfast boys 🥰

Gallacrafts Shop is now OPEN

It’s been a journey! But thanks to all of your enthusiasm and cheerleading (and ultimately @deedala coming through and doing all the work a second time, after our first shop got shut down 🥺) the crafts created in May for Theme 21: Throwback Theme 2 are now available to purchase.

We have not added the Gallavich Barbie craft yet due to worries over the shop being banned again due to IP conflicts. However we are planning to add this art soon, so please take this as an encouragement to purchase your Gallacrafts if you haven’t done so already, because we don’t know what’s going to happen next! Haha

We will give y’all another head’s up when @doodlevich's art has been added. We're very excited ourselves!!

Gallacrafts #21: Throwback Theme 2

Myn @vintagelacerosette and I chose to make the breakfast boys into keychains/charms this month for @gallacrafts, and I had the pleasure of drawing this goofball with his froot loops (or should I say fruit colored-o's)

Throwback theme 2: C'me

This month of @gallacrafts was a collaboration! I paired with the wonderful Deena @suzy-queued. We picked the throw back theme of C'mere , which is emoted so many times, even without words.

We each did an outline of a scene with the C'mere vibes, the drew the outlines with Goth Glue ( see below cut for details). Then we took gallacrafts to the real world and mailed eachother our art so the other person could fill in the colors.

Goth Glue for anyone curious: It's Elmer's Glue and black paint, a watercolor artist I follow called it that. You paint / thickly apply it to your outlines first. Then let dry. Then the thicker raised black is great for keeping watercolor from bleeding over.

Throwback theme 2: C'mere

For this month's @gallacrafts, I partnered with Lily @tsuga-of-mars. We felt that many scenes in the show had that "C'mere" energy even if the words weren't explicitly stated.

For our collaboration, we each picked a scene and drew the outlines with goth glue! Then mailed the pieces to each other, and the other person filled in the color.

🎆 GALLACRAFTS SECOND ANNIVERSARY PROJECT (& Theme 21)🎆

It's MAY now! Which means, the time has come

The Mission (should you choose to accept it):

the 2nd anniversary project is to make crafts which will be turned (if you wish) onto Redbubble merch (t-shirts, mugs, stickers oh my!) that you and anyone else who wishes can buy and wear and use and love every day 🥰

here's how it will work:

The Why: basically every month we have people asking for crafts to become merch, so for this project we thought WHY NOT?!?!

The What: the theme for May will be THROWBACK THEME 2, meaning you can revisit any of the previous themes from two years of Gallacrafts

The How: it's a COLLABORATIVE project if you want it to be, so grab a partner or a group now

The When: posting day will be Sunday 21 May

The Where: we'll work our magic to set up a Redbubble store in June with your designs plus some special anniversary designs we'll put together. the store will be open all of July which is our second anniversary month!

we'll do reminders in May but for now put on your thinking caps and grab a partner or group! -> This is the reminder!

We're running a matchmaking service so send Cherry @too-schoolforcool or Donna @sleepyfacetoughguy a DM if you'd like some help, or alternatively come hang over on the Gallacrafts Discord.

I want to participate in this month's theme but don't want my craft on merch, what do I do?

Absolutely no problem! Either contact one of the admins (Cherry or Donna) & let them know, or state in your post whether you wanna opt out. We'll also be double-checking with each crafter who participates that they want to be-merched.

Are you making money off this?

No way. We're able to set the profit margin on Redbubble at zero - so you'll be able to buy the merch at the lowest possible price and we definitely DO NOT make a cut. We'll take screenshots of the process of setting up the store for transparency and accountability.

I don't make digital art, how can my craft be made into merch?

we get it, we're physical crafters ourselves! crafters like us might need to think outside the box a bit on this one

Maybe you might want your Galla-cookie recipe on a magnet?

Maybe you want to make the rooster mug and then put a pic of that on a mug (mug-ception)
