Winter training update. • The squad is doing exceptional, we are moving into some hard, core, and stability work along with a test week to take us up to Christmas. And then hitting it hard into the new year. And then going from there. • 2019. This season has been a learning curve for me, my management skills need to improve. My training lifestyle is changing for the better, and next season will be my year. I’m definitely not an emotional person in public, but it definitely gets me when mine and @cherylangell throws go out then and do there thing, having to deal with not only the mental and physical struggle of the season but also dealing with exams and many out of sports commitment, and STILL turn up to every competition or training session. Wind. Rain. Or snow. And put 100% into every single session. I’ll be here all day if I explain how proud I am of them all. Went out to throw for alittle between studying because i probably wont be able to next weekend with our game schedule. Only worked up to a quick footed multi crossover while working on not pulling off the javelin as much and getting back to a more linear version of myself. I see the difference and felt it today, though others probably wouldn't. The distances and whippy feel of it confirmed I'm slowly going in the right direction! Time to stay more centered, use more armpit/shoulder, get my feet down quick, and stay with the javelin through the throw and finish it. Slow and steady for this guy w technical changes. #Sidenote I'm pretty sure i tied my PR for multi x-overs today and it felt easy (Thats the last throw on the video, and as i can see...it was probably my technically ugliest throw of the day.) From training today. Had to speed it up to catch my 2 split jerks/1 power jerk at 80k, did a few sets at this weight since i haven't jerked any weights in months...and it was pretty easy, working technique. Had some squats pausing half way up, jerks, bench, then some core/jump rope cardio.
