               just  a  reminder  that  thunder  is  6′2  so.  if  any  of  u  angels  feelin  safe  out  there  tonight  just.  remember

dumb  little  weather  things   !

aurora  doesn’t  dye  her  hair  pink.  it’s  just  pink.  it  was  blonde  before  she  died  but  now  it  just  grows  pink.  heaven’s  funny  little  joke ,  i  suppose.

lightning’s  eyes  go  gold  when  he  uses  his  powers   &   his  hair  gets  duller  brown  the  longer  he  doesn’t  use  them  for.

thunder’s  eyes  also  glow  a  little  when  they’re   ‘  powered  up  ’.   there’s  also  flecks  of  gold   &   silver ,  hardly  noticeable ,  in  their  hair.

rain  is  ALWAYS  barefoot.  always.  is  also  usually  wearing  a  boiler  suit  or  robes  or  something  equally  old ,  faded ,  and  misshapen.

IF  you  get  to  see  rain’s  wings     (   which  very  few  do   )     they’re  not  quite  white.  they’re  the  sort  of  faded  colour  of  old  book  pages ,  flecked  with  gold.

also  alignment  stuff   !     ‘cause  i  didn’t  want  to  make  two  posts  at  once

i  mentioned  that  the  weathers  are  vaguely  angelic ,  but  not  actual  angels.  they’re  somewhere  in  between  angels   &   demons  but  generally  are  sort  of  SUPPOSED  to  be  on  heaven’s  side.  but  they’re  not  policed  in  the  same  way  that  the  angels  are ,  due  to  the  chaotic  nature  of  weather  itself ,  so  they  can  basically  do  what  they  like     (   although  rain  might  not  be  happy  about  it   ).

rain  is  definitely  on  heaven’s  side     (   duh ,  voice  of  god   ).

aurora  would  say  she’s  with  heaven ,  but  more  on  the  side  of  GOOD.  she’ll  talk  to  or  make  friends  with  demons  and  angels  alike ,  and  will  ally  with  demons  when  she  disagrees  with  heaven ,  or  with  The  Plan.

lightning  . . .   is  pretty  much  with  hell.  he  doesn’t  like  angels  much   //   thinks  demons  are  cool.  he’s  still  very  much  an  advocate  for  humans ,  though.  basically  just  hates  authority  and  likes  chaos.

thunder  is  kinda  neutral  tbh   !     she’d  probably  be  closer  to  heaven  if  not  for  lightning     (   who  she  would  follow  basically  anywhere   ).     she’s  loud   &   crass   &   often  rude  but  can  be  surprisingly  thoughtful  and  kind.

THUNDER :

is  so  STRONG  is  so  fucking  strong.  could  lift  you  with  one  arm.

IS  REALLY  TALL  LIKE  6′2.  SHE’LL  BENCH  PRESS  YOU.

goes  by  thunder  rather  than  a  human  name  nearly  all  the  time  and  will  ABSOLUTELY  tell  you  point  blank  that  they’re  an  angel        (    they’re  not    )        just  for  giggles.  makes  absolutely  zero  effort  to  hide  her  identity.

is  agender  and  also  ids  as  trans    !        when  they  were  still  alive ,  access  to  that  kind  of  healthcare  didn’t  really.  exist  lmao.  but  once  it  started  becoming  more  accessible ,  they  did  consider  physically  transitioning        (    as  far  as  top  surgery  and  possibly  t    ).        they’re  still  considering  it.  honestly    ?        she’s  kinda  worried  about  how  heaven  might  react.

has  a  naturally  fairly  low  voice ,  and  still  has  her  australian  accent ,  although  it’s  not  so  pronounced  any  more.

also  has  eyes  that  glow  slightly  when  using  her  powers ,  but  it’s  more  around  the  outside  of  her  iris  that  goes  gold  rather  than  the  whole  colour  changing.

alsO  has  flecks  of  silver     &     gold  in  their  hair    !        it’s  kind  of  hard  to  notice  unless  you’re  looking  for  it  /  naturally  very  observant ,  though.

is  aromantic  but  i’m  not  sure  if  they’  actually  id  that  way  or  just  thinks  OH ,  SHE’S  NOT  INTERESTED  IN  A  RELATIONSHIP.  does  id  as  bisexual.

is  LOUD

honestly    ?        would  probably  be  neutral  good ,  if  not  for  lightning.  she’ll  follow  him  basically  wherever  he  goes        (    so ,  usually ,  into  chaos  and  moral  ambiguity    ).        but  she’s  very  kind  and  often  thoughtful  and  likes  humans.

very  much  loves  lightning.  their  relationship  is  this  kind  of  weird  place  between  platonic  /  romantic  /  sexual ,  without  actually  being  labelled  as  anything.  but  they’re  definitely  in  love.  never  fear ,  they’re  both  still  multiship  tho    !

is  PARTICULARLY  protective  of  children ,  queer  ladies ,  and  trans  /  nb  people.  ESPECIALLY  queer  /  trans  teenagers.  she  would  kill  without  hesitation  to  protect  an  lgbt+  person.  without.  hesitation.

doesn’t  trust  police  officers.  tbh ,  anyone  in  law  enforcement        (    including  uh.  lots  of  angels  +  demons.  gabriel  or  beelzebub    ?        scary    ).

LORE  /  INFO  DUMP  FOR  MY  PERSONIFICATIONS  OF  WEATHER   !

first  things  first.  these  ocs  are  very  heavily  inspired  by  GOOD  OMENS ,  and  totally  compatible  with  good  omens  canon  /  lore     (   even  rain  ——  you  can  check  out  her  muse  page  for  more  info  on  that   ).     at  the  moment  i’m  not  outright  calling  them  good  omens  ocs ,  but  this  might  change  tbh.

the  weathers  are  . . .   not  QUITE  angels ,  but  they’re  definitely  something  close.  they  can’t  perform  miracles  on  command  to  the  extent  that  angels  can  and  definitely  don’t  have  as  much  power.  they’re  definitely  not  demons  either.  i  think ,  GENERALLY ,  they  tend  to  be  on  the  side  of  god  /  good  but  it  varies  from  individual  to  individual  what  they  consider  themselves.  they’re  something  similar  but  DIFFERENT  ——  in  between  the  two.

there  is  not  only  one  person  controlling  each  weather  at  once ,  usually.  for  example ,  there  are  several   ‘  lightnings  ’   in  existence ,  generally  each  watching  over  a  different  part  of  earth     (   size  varying  depending  on  experience  /  age  etc.   ).     the  number  of  weathers  in  existence  is  probably  three  digits ,  i  don’t  know.  enough  that  they  don’t  all  know  each  other ,  but  it’s  still  a  pretty  small  group     (   some  would  say  an  honour   ).

the  weathers  all  used  to  be  human  people.  they  have  all  died  as  humans ,  and  how  they  look  is  how  they  look  as  humans.  after  dead ,  their  bodies  don’t  age     (   unless  they  get  paperwork  for  that   ).

exactly  how  or  WHY  particular  humans  are  chosen  for  this  is  . . .   unclear.  INEFFABLE ,  one  might  say.  one  would  assume  that  it’s  all  part  of  the  plan  ——  that  there’s  just  something  about  their  soul  that  means  it’s  them.  but ,  whoever’s  choosing ,  they  seem  to  get  it  right  every  time.  there’s  been  no  complaints.  whatever  it  is ,  they’re  definitely  RIGHT  for  this.

the  weathers  don’t  all  know  each  other ,  but  some  of  them  do.  they  socialise  just  like  angels  or  demons ,  both  on  earth  and  in  the  skies     (   it’s  not  really  heaven ,  but  they  can  sort  of  hang  out  in  the  clouds   ).     oh ,  and  they  ALL  KNOW  RAIN.  she’s  in  charge.  again ,  check  out  her  muse  page.

POWERS  /  RESPONSIBILITIES   !

each  weather ,  obviously ,  has  total  control  over  their  phenomenon.  it’s  not  something  that  needs  to  be  learnt  ——  it  is  inherent  in  the  role.

they’re  not  OBLIGED  to  do  anything.  they  have  no  duty  or  instructions  but ,  again ,  there  seems  to  be  some  inherent  want  to  do  it.

they  do  have  some  angelic  abilities.  they  heal  rapidly  and  don’t  need  to  eat   /   can  perform  minor  miracles   /   don’t  die  if  discorporated ,  etc.  but  it’s  limited.

they  can  teleport   !

they  do  not  have  wings ,  or  any  other  form     (   except  rain ,  but  don’t  ask  her  about  it   ).     they  all  look  basically  human ,  but  may  have  odd  coloured  eyes  /  hair  /  strange  marks     (   like  some  of  the  angels   &   demons  do   ).

most  of  them  just  spend  their  time  travelling  tbh.  socialising ,  hanging  around ,  checking  the  weather ,  people - watching.  very  few  set  up  a  permanent  residence  or  hold  a  job  tbh.  there’s  something  restless  in  their  souls.

check  out  THIS  POST  for  info  on  how  the  weathers  can  sense  /  recognise  angels  and  demons.  they  also  have  a  degree  of  extrasensory  perception ,  can  sense  danger ,  etc.  however  these  things  are  generally  less  consistent  than  their  others.  to  put  it  in  context ,  they  may  sense  a  car  about  to  speed  past  and  step  back ,  but  not  notice  the  falling  brick  behind  them.  it’s ,  you  guessed ,  ineffable.

they  can  be  injured  in  normal  human  ways   !     they  can  bleed ,  bruise ,  etc.  but  the  difference  is  their  injuries  won’t  kill  them.  they  can  sustain  REALLY  SERIOUS  injuries  that  would  be  fatal  to  humans  and ,  although  it’ll  hurt ,  they’ll  live.  they  don’t  discorporate  like  angels  or  demons.  if  their  body  is  IRREPARABLY  damaged ,  idk ,  they’ll  have  to  file  some  paperwork.

they  don’t  get  ill ,  however.  it’s  a  perk.  and  they  can  get  drunk.

I’ve been a hot dog this week, with the sun blasting down so much we couldn’t even go for a walk except early mornings… and these days, I like to sleep a bit later. She’s done her best to keep me cool, though, leaving all the blinds closed till the sun was off the house. how often does thunder use her powers? does she like ice skating? does she have a proper australian accent? does she enjoy her powers, or are they just kinda there?

pretty  often     !          of  all  my  weather  kids ,  she’s  probably  the  one  that  is  most  connected  to ,  certain  of ,  and  just  downright  enjoys  her  powers  /  purpose.  she’s  not  super  into  like ,  travelling  or  hanging  out  w  new  people  or  has  a  lot  of  HUMAN  HOBBIES ,  so  pretty  much  all  the  time  she’s  just  going  around  bringing  storms  where  they’re  needed.  every  day ,  probably  several  times ,  with  very  few  exceptions.

i   .  .  .     hate  to  say  that  she’s  probably  never  ice - skated.  she  likes  roller  derby  /  rollerskating  though  and  isn’t  bad ,  so  she  would  probably  like  ice - skating  a  lot     !          she  just  doesn’t  like  the  cold ,  really.

it’s  kinda  wonky ,  but  yea     !!!          she  doesn’t  really  live  in  australia  any  more  and  hasn’t  for  a  while  so  it’s  a  little  diminished  but  still  definitely  australian.

see  the  first  q     !          she  very  much  likes  her  powers  for  a  lot  of  reasons     ——     it  suits  her  personality ,  makes  her  feel  POWERFUL ,  she  likes  the  physical  changes          (     glowing  eyes     //     gold - speckled  hair     ) ,          she’s  always  loved  storms ,  and  she’s  chaotic  af  so  likes  to  y’know.  shake  people  up  with  a  little  noise.

               THE  CLOUDS  ABOVE  ARE  DARK  AND  ROLL  WITH  NOISE ,  and  the  form  below  seems  in  a  SIMILAR  STATE.  eyes  aglow  with   gold     &    rage.   if  a  person  could  shed  sparks     //     they  would  be  now.   already  growing  distant ,  perhaps  the  SCREECH  of  a  man        (    in  fact ,  the  very  cause  of  this  almighty  rage    !    )        can  still  be  heard  as  he  runs     ——     LUCKY   to  only  be  faced  with  a  small  piece  of  this   THUNDEROUS  RAGE.

     SHE  TAKES  A  DEEP  BREATH     /     a  steadying  pause     /     and  eyes  turn  upon  the  other  who  had  spoken.  gathering  herself.        “    it’s  that  obvious    ?    ”        and  then ,  a  GRIN.  deliberately  placed  and  strangely  unnerving  in  the  way  it  curls.        “    oh ,  you  know  how  men  are.  ‘specially  at  this  time ,  ‘round  these  places.    ”        a  gesture  to  the  thudding  music     //     neon  lights  of  a  nearby  club.        “    but   NO  WORRIES.    ”        a  thunderclap  echoes  off  the  building  and ,  a  moment  later ,  a  flash  of   LIGHTNING    !        strikes  quite  a  shadow  across  the  face  on  which  a  grin  grows  wider        (    and  maybe ,  in  the  distance ,  the  man’s  screeching  suddenly  stops    ).        “    he’ll  get  what  he  deserves.    ”
