Exorcist Twelve

In a break from established convention, Exorcist Squadron’s finest ace was also the last pilot in its roster - Exorcist Twelve, piloting the squadron’s third Thunderbolt Fury. Unlike the 8498th and 2044th Wings from the Hexenheim muster, neither Exorcist Squadron nor the wider 606th Fighter Wing adopted the heraldry of of any of the Nordainne Reconquest regiments, their striking heraldry and inscrutable tactical sigils rendered all the more signature for it.

It took a bit of digging to find the White Dwarf in question, but Exorcist Twelve will represent the Thunderbolt Fury Ace, Flight Cdr. Leon Answith / Wings of Courage.

Fly on the wings of Fury

Having really enjoyed the scale Adeptus Titanicus, I was really excited about the Aeronautica Imperialis release. I pre-ordered it, along with the campaign book.

I loved painting the planes, and was very pleased with the light blue color scheme I did for the Imperial planes. I can really see myself painting the entire range as it develops.

Here are the first two planes, the Thunderbolts. I did them as furies, with one set of missiles each. I was unsure if I should do the with full armament, or as I would do them in a game. Eventually I decided on the latter.

Did a little thing with my photo setup and all. Now I only have to turn the brightness all the way down! 😉
