It’s the 30th anniversary of Thunder Force IV! (...aka Lightening Force)

On my site I made a page recreating the background of the first stage in CSS. Because it’s honestly maybe the most gorgeous example of parallax scrolling of the generation. I got 40 image layers stacked here...

(...Unfortunately, it’s a flickery awful mess on mobile! Too many layers I guess. Or my browser apps are too outdated. I dunno what do about it, I’m no web design wizard.)

My Six Fanarts challenge had to be in pixel art and a tribute to the spaceships of those shoot'em ups that have given me so many good moments in front of the screen since I was a child until today with more recent titles like Devil Engine, Pawarumi and Jet Lancer. I add three more ships as an extra. Darius and Ikaruga could not miss the appointment. And Sine Mora! I played it again this week and love their art and environments.
