⚡️ - Catch my muse panic as a thunder storm starts
Yuri had left the hotel. He left for St. Petersburg tomorrow and had wanted to walk around Espoo a bit and see it. It had gone well. It was a beautiful city, and he had seen a bit more than what he had seen when he had been in nearby Helsinki for Worlds a few months ago. It was nice to get out, and just… walk around for a bit. He wasn’t too pleased with how he had skated this weekend, and he needed to clear his mind.
Finlandia had been his first competition of the season, and it hadn’t gone quite as planned. Sure, he had done okay, but… he was capable of better. Maybe a day out was just what he needed. Yuri had found a nice little diner that had some English-speaking servers - not Russian, but as he spoke English that was okay. After that, he headed out and found a bookstore.
Yuri had spent about an hour in there; it was nice to look around and see the covers of the Finnish books. He found a Foreign section, and there had some English books. He grabbed one and was heading out to pay for it when a loud bang of thunder roared through. Oh, no, he said to himself, the familiar feeling of fear going through him.
He wasn’t that far from the hotel, but as another bang of thunder, followed by a flash of lightning came through, the blond knew that he was not going to make it back there.Yuri paid for the book, shaking more and more as the storm grew worse. Clutching the plastic bag tight against his chest, he turned his back to the window, shaking. He could still hear it. Fuck, what the hell was he supposed to do?
