LOOK AT ALL MY HANDSOME BIRBS. (And one cat hiding in the middle. :D
Clockwise from top left IN A SPIRAL:
Penguin matryoshkas from @clockways, I intend to collect eventually on the promise of a housewarming gift :D
Some beautiful cardinals (I included the wax seal from the envelope because I love wax seals) from @thurifut -- I think your calligraphy is lovely, and thank you for the good wishes.
PENGUIN MATRYOSHKA TWIN! (I think this card is hilarious and loving having two of them) from Courtney (I think? Correct me if I’m wrong!) which also had some delicious tea in it. I literally am sipping one as we speak because I have a raging headache.
A wonderful owl in a scarf from @algaegirl17; your inscription inside was lovely and I’m so glad I can entertain and uplift fandom and give people joy. I hope your 2017 goes well too.
Okay for like a week I’ve been calling this card the Penguin In Headphones from @siancrosslin before realizing no, dumbass, that’s a penguin in EARMUFFS, but I love the idea of a rockin’ winter penguin too much to really believe those are earmuffs. And thank you for the note, I’m glad I can be a positive force online!
There are actually three wintry owls on the card, sorry two of them got shuffled under, from Cory and @godof221b. It included a fun “update” type letter; I love getting those, it’s fun reading the news everyone wants to share. It sounds like you guys are having an amazing time making lots of great art.
Penguins with a fantastically cocky baby penguin is from @junker5 - you are always so enthusiastic in your asks and comments, and your wonderful note in the card conveyed that as well :) As soon as I saw “Junker5″ I was like YES. THIS FITS.
The penguins with warm wishes (and big eyes!) comes from @kestrelhill; “weirdness and wonder” is what I aspire to so that’s a very good hope for the new year!
The two tiny robins sharing a garland is a wonderful card from @rosiedeplume (a decade, holy crap, I agree!). I appreciate the good wishes for a smooth home search. From here on out, right?
And finally, a kitty lurking amongst the birbs, a wonderful Charles Harper card (I love his work!) from @winds-wanderer. Thank you so much for the good wishes, and for the phrase “random acts of weirdness” because that made me chuckle. :D
Two down...three more card posts to go! I’m kind of enjoying doing them in such a leisurely fashion, gives me time to review and reflect.
And get glitter all over myself multiple times. :D
