4. Cool, very specific verbs

Bro we had a verb for the act of giving someone a hat!!! And we traded this for Modern English??? There are so many cool verbs.........and nouns!!! There were so many hyperspecific words that we just stopped using!! We should be ashamed!! We should be more like German!!

look im no actor but like. "tiktok acting" i think you meant to say theatre acting? because theatre often has exaggerated facial expressions and movements because you don't have a camera up close in your face at the perfect angle.

acting, like any art, is first and foremost the medium of a story, and sometimes that medium needs exaggeration to tell the story. this drive in pop culture towards only realism being "valid" is killing me. because they don't want realism, they want conformity.
