DANTE- “And look at her, his daughter. Thymian, right?”
ELIAS- “Yes, Thymian. She was quite beautiful.”
DANTE- “And she gave the ultimate sacrifice. Even after fighting the dark witches, she continued on, loosing her own life for yet another rogue witches revenge.”
ELIAS- “You seem to know a lot about our heritage, Dante.”
DANTE- “When mother told me, who my father really was. I wanted to learn everything. You know there is a school in Alexandria, Egypt? Thymian studied there, met her husband there. I went there. A new school was rebuilt after the Vampires burnt down the original. Our entire family history is written there, like they were scriptures or something. Everything you would want to know about them, From the very beginning, all the way to your....our Grandmother, Vada. Well almost everything.”
ELIAS- “What do you mean? Almost?”
DANTE- “Well their bodies are buried here, of course, but there supposedly was a book of spells that was past down from generation to generation. each generation adding their own spells and magics that they learnt. I am surprised you never heard of it.”
ELIAS- “Father really never spoke much of witchcraft, and all of that. Just of the people. I really didn’t know much until after I went away to college. But I never heard of this book of spells.”
Elias of course lied, but he wasn’t telling anyone about the book until he spoke with Philip
DANTE- “It is said to be very powerful, and only those in direct line from the previous Realm Master can open it. It is cursed to anyone else who would try.”
He knew exactly how it was cursed....
DANTE- “They would be stripped of any of their powers, and ultimately die. It almost happened once. To a young girl that was jealous of Saffie Boedell’s powers. She felt she should have them. She was sister to Saffie’s husband, Saffon Cruz. She even killed her own brother to gain the power. So sad, isn’t it?”
ELIAS- “Yes, extremely so.”
DANTE- “I am glad my mother told me of my real father, but honestly, I think our grandmother was right. Magics are a curse. I really want no part of any of them.”
He felt this, truly coming from Dante. That was the coldness. It was almost a hate he felt towards it. Elias could feel his anger as he spoke. Then like a light switch, his feelings were gone
DANTE- “Well, enough of all that gloom and doom, right? We should maybe see what our parents are doing. It is getting late. I need to get home.”
