The fireplace in the House of Lamentation’s library crackled quietly. It was a comforting ambience that perfectly contrasted the vicious pain you were going through.
Your face involuntarily twisted up into a puckered frown at what were basically hieroglyphics etched into this damn book. You couldn’t make heads or tails at this new spell Satan wanted you to learn for the quiz tomorrow. Even your favorite tutor couldn’t help you translate these steps into something your feeble human mind could comprehend.
Satan tapped the page with one finger. “Do you feel ready to try out that spell, now?” A part of you hated how nonchalant he seemed. His chin was perched squarely in the palm of his hand. A small smile graced his lips as though he wasn’t asking you to do the impossible.
Granted, the spell seemed so embarrassingly simple at first blush. All it was supposed to do was grow flowers in the hair of the target (a surprisingly pretty enchantment considering where you were currently residing), and Satan had oh so graciously volunteered to be your little test subject.
You should have been grateful, but all you felt in that moment was that familiar sensation of irritation crawling up your chest like a withering insect.
Scowling, you grabbed the spell book, which was thick with dusty, cracked leather, and brought it up to your nose, so Satan couldn’t see. “Almost,” you mumbled.
“Take your time.” Satan waved his hand like it was no big deal.
And it wasn’t. You knew that, and he knew that. One quiz wouldn’t ruin your entire grade, but a part of you wanted to feel mad for no good reason, and Satan was the prime target.
When he wasn’t looking, you flipped over to a section of the book you were extremely familiar with. You smiled. “Okay, I’m ready.”
You took a deep breath and muttered out the incantation quietly enough so that your victim wouldn’t hear you.
For a brief moment, you thought you had managed to mess up your go-to spell, but Satan suddenly hunched over in his chair. He hugged himself as his face suddenly grew into a rather lovely hue of red.
“W-what’s goihing—“ Satan stuttered out before hiccuping once and falling into a heap of laughter. He hid his face in his hands (perhaps to hide his embarrassment) and cackled. “Whahahat dihihihihid you do?”
“I dunno,” you said, trying to play dumb. “I did the spell like it told me to do.” You glared at the book as though it was to blame.
Satan shook his head. “You liahahahar!” He wheezed and clutched his stomach. When he couldn’t find any relief from the sensations, he turned to slamming his fist on the table. Your assortment of color-coded pens went flying with each bang. “Whehehen does thihis curse eeheheHEHAHA—“
He pushed his chair back and crumbled to the floor as his laughter suddenly got more intense. You hadn’t realized Satan was so sensitive. This was good information to use for later. Perhaps for some blackmail if the situation ever called for it.
Even though Satan had called out your (admittedly thinly-veiled) bluff, you still hid your own growing smile behind your hand. You enjoyed how squeaky Satan’s laughter was. It was a shame you didn’t hear it too often. You had grown rather accustomed to his evil, maniacal laughter that would pop out whenever he would think of a new prank to get Lucifer. This was a nice change.
“Oh, it only lasts for a couple of minutes or so,” you answered.
“Thahahat lohong?! I cahahahan’t take ihihihit!” He kicked his legs out, and rolled from side to side. It seemed like he was struggling to stay still.
“Dang, are you that ticklish?”
You could tell Satan was trying to glower at you, but his usually terrifying rage face was dampened by his bright smile and flushed cheeks. He looked more like a giggling school boy rather than the powerful demon you knew. You wanted to pinch his cheeks, but that would put your fingers in prime chomping range.
Satan hiccuped, again. He gasped for air. “Shut uhuhup!” His laughter was slowing down. The spell must have been wearing off. What a shame.
When he finally stopped laughing, you reached out to help him get up. “Are you good?” you asked.
“No,” he spat out before grabbing your hand. Satan hoisted himself back into his chair and crossed his arms. “Why did you do that?” He asked, his face still noticeably pink. Satan had always blushed so easily—much to his detriment. “My cheeks hurt.” He massaged his face.
You shrugged and picked your pens back up. “I think I needed a break. That flower-hair spell is too hard. I can’t learn it in time for tomorrow’s quiz.”
Satan nodded. “You’re right. You do need a break.”
“I do?” You stopped in the middle of organizing your things and blinked owlishly. “Really?”
“Yes, and I’ll help you with that!”
Before you could react, Satan pounced on you, sending the both of you tumbling to the ground. You thought he was going to enact his revenge, but a sudden kiss had stolen your breath. Huh. Maybe you did need a break, after all.

Summary: Satan becomes engrossed in a new novel, locking himself in his room all day. He forgets about everything else as time flies, accidentally ignoring his duties and MC. Lucifer gives him a reminder he won’t soon forget.
Warnings: none! This is a tickle fic, so if you don’t like that, scroll away!!
Satan curled up on his bed, the soft pattering of rain on his bay window making the perfect white noise. He had been gifted a new mystery/drama novel by his favorite human and was intent on binge-reading it to the end. Abandoning his worries and silencing his D.D.D., the avatar of Wrath cracked the spine and began to read his new novel.
-
Lucifer stormed through the halls of the House of Lamentation, heading for the fourth oldest brother’s room. The knowledge-obsessed recluse hadn’t shown his face in over 24 hours. MC was worried, and the blonde demon’s list of assignments was left untouched.
As the oldest, he took it upon himself to punish his brothers for their various misdeeds. Despite this, he had a soft spot for every one of them in his heart, no matter how small. Mammon was a cheeky, greedy little shit most of the time, but he still loved him as his brother. Nevertheless, Satan’s hermiting couldn’t be left unchecked.
Reaching the sturdy oak barrier, Lucifer knocked rather politely. He was too civilized to bang right away, though he definitely felt like it. “Satan! Open this door, now!” He could still yell, though.
The bibliophile jolted, almost dropping his beloved book as the yell shook him. He scoffed, bookmarked his page and moved to open the door. “What is it, Lucifer? I’m doing something.”
That got a huff out of the prideful demon, his eye twitching. “It’s not your list of tasks for today, is it? Or perhaps spending time with the human? You can’t be in there just reading and think you can speak to me that way.” Internally, he facepalmed. He really had lost track of time, hadn’t he? No way he was admitting that to Lucifer, though. “What makes you think you can talk to me like I’m a child? I’ll get them done, and I’ve got plans to hang out with MC later.”
That made the older man’s blood boil. Normally he’d smack the other demon around a bit and call it a day, but that time was different. He had promised his human that he would refrain from harming his brothers, especially satan. They hate seeing the two fight. Violence is off the table, but something else they had shown him came to mind. Bingo…
The smirk on Lucifer’s face sent an odd feeling to his stomach. One he could’ve sworn he’d felt before, but couldn’t quite remember when. “Satan, I’m giving you five seconds to run. If I were you, I’d use them~” He raised one hand, teasingly wiggling his fingers. Oh... Oh.
Satan did what any rational demon would in that scenario; he ran for his life. Luci rarely got into teasing moods, but when he did, they were killer. Every brother in the House knew to fear a playful Lucifer.
The eldest brother chuckled, watching the cat-lover flee. He loved moments like these, though he’d never admit it. He slowly counted to five listening to every shoe squeak and opening door as his brother ran. Finally, when the time was up, he pursued his victim for the evening.
Lucifer followed his mental map, retracing the noises he’d heard. A shoe squeak for a turn, a door slam for a room change. He reached the end of the trail, watching a bag swing on the closet door. There we are…
Taking long, slow strides, he walked over to the closet. The demon made sure every step was loud and slapped against the ground for his hidden brother to hear. Was it mean? Absolutely. Did he care? Not one bit.
Satan kept a hand pressed over his mouth, not daring to make a sound. He knew that Lucifer was just drawing it out. Before their human showed up, the brothers never would’ve considered such a playful option. But now? It was their favorite alternative, often on both the giving and receiving side. Lucifer was still the most revered in the family, even in such a silly sense.
Chuckling to himself, Lucifer flung the closet door open, grabbing his brother’s arm and pinning him to the couch before he could even think about running. Satan kicked and squirmed, his tucked cardigan quickly getting bunched as he tried to escape. “L-Lucifer! Let me go right now!”
A gleam shone in his older brother’s eyes, one that sent a shiver down his spine. He only got that look when he was about to do something evil, usually to Mammon… If only the greedy avatar were there to distract him.
Lucifer leaned in, speaking directly into his brother’s ear. “I want you to know, Satan, that I will be tickling you mercilessly.” His tone was as smug as it was level. The simple gesture made his stomach do anticipatory flips. “And I will be enjoying myself~”
Before he could even breathe another protest, Luci dug into his upper rib cage, scribbling and drilling his fingers between each bone. Satan fell in a giggle fit, his cheeks quickly pinkening. “L-Luhucifeheher! Nohoho! Gehet off mehehehe!”
“Aww, how unfortunate for you, brother. I won’t be doing that anytime soon.” He cooed, climbing up and down Satan’s rib cage with his wiggly fingers. He had the other demon strongly pinned, giving him very little wiggle room. Still, he tried his best to get away. “Gohoho awahay! I-Ihihi’ll stohop reading fohor todahahay!”
Lucifer believed him, though he didn’t care. His sadism kept him going, but more than that, he liked seeing his logical brother laugh. “Go away? What have I said about you speaking to me like that?” He moved his wiggling fingers to Satan’s neck, basking in the high-pitched squeal he caused. “N-NYAHAHAO! LUHUCIFER, PLEHEHEASE!” That had to be one of his favorite spots, though the true winner was up next.
Satan hated begging anyone for anything, especially Lucifer. His neck was stupidly ticklish, though, and he’d much rather beg under Luci than laugh and squeal like a child. The prideful demon had no intentions of stopping, instead moving to Satan’s “jackpot spot” as his brothers called it. He moved two fingers underneath the boy’s chin, attacking the area with his short nails.
Satan was not proud of his reaction.
A mash-up of a squeal, snort and scream ripped from his throat, his whole body jolting at the feeling. The blush had pretty much taken over his face, tinting his neck and ears a vibrant crimson. “L-LUHAHAHA! I- IHI- NAHAHAHO!” Amidst the crazed laughter, unintelligible nonsense reached the other demon’s ears. He couldn’t understand that if he tried.
“Wow, Satan; I never knew a demon could get so flushed. You’re as red as Diavolo’s coat.” Lucifer had no problems being an asshole to his brother; he had promised he wouldn’t hurt the other demon, but he never said he wouldn’t drive him mad. The teasing was just one more way to make sure his punishment stuck.
Satan was lost in his laughter. His nerves felt as if they were on fire with the ticklish sensation, his typically logical and quick mind a squishy, bubbly soup. There was no way he could do anything but laugh and hope Lucifer had a heart. “PLEAHAHA- PLEHEASE! MEHEHERCY!”
While he was greatly enjoying himself, he could tell his cat-loving brother was at his wits end. With a sigh, he retracted his fingers from beneath Satan’s chin, granting the man his mercy. “You’re lucky I’m feeling benevolent today, brother. Next time, I won’t stop my fun so quickly.”
With that, he released Satan’s arms and dusted off his coat as he stood. He had no shame for reducing his brother to a dazed, giggly puddle. Lucifer left the room, leaving his brother to recover by himself. He had a human to inform.
Satan curled up on the couch, rubbing his neck and hugging himself. Such an asshole… He refused to acknowledge the buzzing in his stomach, instead focusing on a revenge scheme. Taking a deep breath, the Avatar of Wrath stood, following the distant sound of his older brother’s footsteps. After he ranted to MC about how amazing the novel he received was, he had the perfect idea for his revenge. It was only a matter of time…
The fact that Satan is the avatar of wrath, but gets in lee moods is just so- *screams*
I can totally imagine him being all pissy about it! All moody and frowny around mc because he oh so desperately wants mc to tickle him silly, but how could he admit such thing?!
and omg the first couple of time mc is so clueless like??? why are you so angry right now??? and Satan gets so flustered and angry, he has no other option but to be like "DAMMIT, CAN'T YOU SEE I WANT YOU TO TICKLE ME?!"
He only realized what he had said when you widened his eyes and blushed. He also blushed, his face turning an absolute tomato as he hides behind his hands omg he's adorable
After that lil accident now mc knows what's going on when he gets in those moods and will happily tickle him until his heart is content dsjknfsdjf
Okay so- I am back baby! This is a request from the sweetest person in this world ever - @satans-beloved-riv ! She's the most sweetest, kindest and funniest person ever, hope you enjoy!
Here you were, sitting in the fourth strongest demon's room, reading one of his favourite series with him beside him on his own bed, exchanging smiles and laughs from the wonderous series, the silence was long yet sweet, the two of you comfortable in the silent embrace of eachother.
Before long, you could feel that Satan was falling asleep, having the book be left astray halfway through the chapter, you couldn't possibly let him doze off now!
You nudged him, trying to at least bother him a bit before doing anything else, "Psst, Satan, can we finish this last bit before you go to sleep?" You asked with a gentle tone, you thought he was completely out before you saw that face. He was acting like he was asleep to get you to soften up even more, how dare he! You then puffed and threw a pillow on his head, but no, he stayed stuck that way.
"C'mon, just this last bit you.. you.. argh!" You splayed yourself on the bed, annoyingly poking his side, you immediately worried as you saw him flinch, "Oh my, are you hurt? I'm so sorry if- so.." You paused, you saw the slightest strained smile that tugged on his face.
"Oh no, did I just find out that you-"
"Don't say it."
"Are.."
"Don't. Say. It."
"Ticklish?"
"Damn you." He muttered, catching the hand you dared to try and poke him with, "Don't even try." He smirked, but that didn't stop you, no, you used the other hand to scribble against his hip, making him quiver and squirm, messing the beds covers.
"Hey, hold still! You're making a mess!" You chuckled at his whine, "I'm tryhihihing!" He tried to suppress his giggles, only for them to spill faster once you used your now free hand to trace circles on the side of his neck. There was something different to him when it was just the two of you, he wasn't so tense, he was laughing freely without restricting himself so much.
"You're too adorable." You mused, smiling as he made a small snort once you got under his chin, "NahAHOhoho! Dohon't yohou da-AHARE!?" He hunched his shoulder's up, ducking his head down in an attempt to avoid the scribbling finger's , only to keep them stuck there, "Uh oh, seems I'm stuck here!" You chorused, wondering just how long it takes for a demon to fully crack.
He swore it was an accident. Mammon had stolen one of his things: an ancient spell book bound in gold. No doubt he had been planning to sell that for some cheap Grimm. Satan had gotten so angry that he casted one of the spells he had learned from that very book. It wasn’t his fault that this dolt decided to run directly to your room when Satan had caught him leaving his bedroom with a suspiciously book-shaped lump underneath his shirt.
It was just a horrible coincidence that your room had gotten caught in the crossfire. If he had been thinking straight, then there was no way Satan would have unleashed his eternal flood curse right into the door of your room.
But he did.
And your bed, walls, and floor were soaked. A lot of your things had been destroyed in the process, too, which Satan felt very guilty about.
Mammon went unscathed, which, of course, he did.
That bastard ducked the moment before Satan finished reciting the incantation.
Sure, he ended up dropping Satan’s book and running away like a chicken, but that meant all his efforts to teach Mammon a lesson was for nothing.
And the worst part?
You saw the whole thing.
And you were pissed. You were enraged. You were…you were going to kill him.
Satan might have been a little attracted to you in that moment if he wasn’t currently running for his life. You had graciously given him a five second head start before you began bolting after him. Satan weaved in and out of the hallways to try to lose you. Alas, you were too honed in.
“Come back here!” You shouted, sounding a lot closer than he would like.
“I’m sorry…!” Satan panted out. “I didn’t mean to! I swear!”
Satan made a sharp right turn, his show squeaking against the floor as he quickly pivoted. Unfortunately, you weren’t able to turn in time, and you slammed into the wall with a light yelp. Satan was about to check if you were okay, but the evil look in your eyes made him rethink that. He flipped back around and ran.
“You’re going to pay for this!”
“I said I was sorry!”
Somewhere behind him, Satan heard Asmodeus squeal your name, and you responded with a confused snort. Satan glanced behind him to see Asmodeus wrapping a light pink scarf around your neck. You were staring at Asmodeus with a bewildered but slightly annoyed expression. Asmodeus either didn’t notice or didn’t seem to mind as he continued adjusting the scarf around your neck. You had stopped, but your legs were still bent as though you might make a run for it at any second.
Satan breathed a sigh of relief. This was his chance to escape.
He sprinted over to the living room and dove behind one of the couches. It was an obvious hiding spot, which made it perfect. Surely, you knew that a demon of his caliber would be much sneakier, so you would completely overlook the typical spots like behind the couch or underneath the dining table. Reverse psychology!
Satan placed his hand on his chest while he forced himself to calm down. His heart was beating wildly, and he was struggling to get enough air in his lungs. Who knew you could be so terrifying when you were upset? Satan spent a moment to indulge how attractive you were before refocusing himself. He needed to find a way to escape the House of Lamentation without you seeing him. That way, he could wait for you to blow off some steam before he would try to apologize again. It sounded like a good plan. He just needed to figure out where you were.
“Hey.”
Satan let out a not-so-manly shriek before falling backward. You were sitting next to him with a scarily happy smile. If he didn’t know any better, he would have thought you were going to simply ask to hang out with him or do something else cheerful. Satan leaned on the back of his arms for support. He gave you a sheepish grin. “Uh, hi, look. I’m really, really sorry. It was an accident. I didn’t mean to–”
“I know it was an accident, silly,” you said. Satan allowed himself to get his hopes up before you continued, “But, I need to get you back for destroying my room.”
Satan scrambled to try and get up, but, unfortunately, he was a second too slow. You tackled him to the ground. Satan’s arms splayed out in front of him when his chest hit the floor. You dug your fingers into his armpits and Satan squealed. “Wahahaha!” He tried to pull his arms back down, but he couldn’t manage to do it in the awkward position he was in. “I’m sorryyyyyy!”
“I know that, but honestly, what were you thinking casting spells like that in the house?” You drilled your index and middle fingers underneath Satan’s arms, which drove him crazy. “Didn’t Lucifer teach you better than that?”
“I–I promihihise that I wohon’t do it again!” Satan hated how loud he was laughing. Was he always this sensitive or was it some special ability of yours? You always managed to find a way to lower his defenses.’ “Plehehehease stop!”
Your fingers began to travel down toward Satan’s ribs. He wriggled and writhed in place, but he wasn’t able to escape your grip, not that he was trying too hard, anyway. “But, you’re so adorable like this. I can’t stop.”
Satan’s cheeks burned. He turned his head to the side, so you wouldn’t be able to see the way his face was probably turning a bright red. It was a fruitless effort, but it made him feel a little better. “Ahahaha…shut uhuhup…!” Satan bucked his hips when you tweaked at an extra-sensitive spot between his ribs. You were going to kill him.
You giggled. It was bright, airy, and just a little devious. “Aw, are you embarrassed?” You continued clawing at his ribs, and Satan squealed, which just made you laugh some more.
Satan couldn’t take this anymore. “Stahahap! Just stop! I’ll do ahahahanything!” This was so humiliating. If he could curl up right now and die, he probably would.
You hummed. “Actually, I was thinking about going to Café Lament later today. Why don’t you get something special for me, huh?”
“Yes! Yes! I will!” Satan gasped out. He quickly dissolved back into laughter when you kept tickling him. “Hahaha! Stahahap!” He managed to stutter your name in between breathless giggles.
You stopped and got off of Satan. He flipped himself on his back as the residual giggles escapes from him. His chest heaved while he waited to catch his breath. He eyed your teasing grin. “You’re…you’re cruel,” he said quietly when he regained his composure. There wasn’t a hint of malice in his tone.
“I learned from the best,” you said. You pinched his cheek, and Satan didn’t even bother to swat your hand away.
