The Carstairs Family + Music Headcanons

We all know Jem Carstairs is one of the most talented musicians in the whole of TSC and that sadly, Emma didn’t inherit his talent on the violin. However, like her ancestor Cordelia, Emma is really good at keeping a rhythm through dancing.

> Emma is really into music: not playing it, but listening to it and dancing to it (especially when she goes partying in LA with Julian, Cristina, Mark and Kieran)

> Sometimes, in the training room when no one is watching, Emma practices dancing with Cortana in graceful arcs with music playing through her earphones, totally unaware that one of her ancestors did something similar in a scandalous Downworlder Salon in 20th century London

> Emma’s music taste is a complete mixture of everything and anything. Some of her favourite Spotify playlists include: old school RnB and Hiphop (influenced by her favourite parts of LA culture), indie classics (heavily recommended by Ty), pop trash (sent over by Clary and Simon), and Latin Reggaeton (picked out by Cristina, of course)
