But during that stage of the boss fight (when Marie snipes the Hypnoshades off of her), Callie alternates between her regular and hypnotized Bomb Rush Blush dances, showing her trying to break out of Octavio’s control in a disorientated fashion.

Tidal rush in my personal opinion will never not be one of the coolest splatoon 2 songs.

The way tide goes out and bomb rush blush went from one being so melancholy and slow and sweet while the other being fast paced and cheerful, to both sounding so urgent and desperate while Callie subconsciously harmonizes with Marie is so COOL especially with Octavio’s remixed bits really adding to the feeling that this is really a fight.

Not to mention the emotions that are super strong through the whole thing, Marie just doing anything to get her cousin back now that she’s found her again, and Callie being so confused and disoriented that she can only instinctively sing along.
