Back after a holiday that was mostly a break from the world contained within devices. We did Christmas Eve with friends split into teams and making gingerbread houses (me and Emma, who is 20, came in second). Christmas day was GLP opening gifts and then hanging around until dinner with some dear friends that was really lovely. My mom (86) and dad (89) came and stayed with us for the weekend so they could be here while my brothers whole family celebrated at my nephew's home about 15 minutes from us. And we got a good old fashioned blizzard yesterday so I woke up to new snow on my birthday today (59) and got to blow/shovel snow and walk the dogs in a spectacular winter wonderland. Tonight it's dinner with friends at a local place we like.
I think 2026 is going to be better for us than 2025 has been and I'm happy for that. I hope you all are feeling hopeful for the new year and finding joy wherever you can.
