To my surprise and delight they had also included some other gifts, a copy of Effin Birds (by @effinbirds), some cute little pins of my girls, some cockatiel stickers, a birb pencil, a magnet of Chucki (whom I adore), a sweet note, and some feathers from Ziggy and Reya!! 😍😍😍

You could keep it as a hospital cage. I have Reya's original cage which is way to small, but if she ever needs to be in a small space because she's recovering from illness, it would be just fine. Just a thought! Keep up the great work with this rescue friend!!

That would not work out as the single door of this cage is barely big enough for me to get through on my own; I cannot fit through the door if I’m on someone’s hand, and would need to be toweled to be taken out.

This particular cage is poorly designed and completely not useful for anything other than being thrown away.

My keeper already has travel sized cages as I am not his first bird (or his only bird), so there is no reason to keep this cage.

#Decembird: birblr gift special no.7!

I’ve been following @tieltavern for quite a while (one of my longest birblr follows actually!), and I was very torn on which of their birds to draw - Reya, Ziggy, Chucki, Tommy and Turtle are all so gorgeous and characterful!

But in the end, I hope they don’t mind that I simply couldn’t pass up drawing a little ‘in memoriam’ sketch of the eternally beautiful Betsy. ♡

All I can say birds are so so so so so so different from having other pets as companions. so different. They're intelligence is kind of scary, and I find I talk to her different then you would I dog. Tbh I talk to her like she's a young child and when she's being bad I like lay out the rules like a parent with a stern voice like who has she turned me into
