Happy Tiger Park Gets Booked in Portland (in 65 years) Day!
Space sweeper's gand being the best adoptive family...
Movie: Space sweepers
wow, emotional about another space family?? mE???
anyways watch space sweepers (2021) on netflix for space found family shenanigans
So I finally watched Space Sweepers, late I know, and I love Tiger Park so much. He gives me major Elliot Spencer vibes tbh and he was so much fun to watch.
The dad ever
Okay another cool thing about space sweepers: although Captain Jang is female, no one ever just gives her Kot-nim and expects her to take care of her. No one expects Bubs to, either (Bubs does it by choice). Like, if you think about it, the two male characters, Taeho and Tiger Park, are the ones who took care of Kot-nim in the movie. Tiger Park is the first one to warm up to her and immediately take care of her, becoming Dad #1. Taeho takes a long while but he becomes her protector and Dad #2.
And of course Bubs was there before Taeho though, but it's never forced. No one told Bubs to spend quality time (make up time!!) with her, only to keep her safe (they were all trying to keep her safe).
And Captain Jang--she was actually the person who spent the LEAST time with Kot-nim, had less of the close bonding stuff (they're still close though). Like, the movie could have made her become the attached parent, but they didnt go that route, giving it to the other three instead, which we dont see as often. Captain Jang acts kind of like the cool, protective aunt rather than the mother, I think. She never gets as sentimental and emotional as the others, especially the men. Idk I'm just rambling at this point.
Basically, Space Sweepers said, men can be soft and emotional caretakers and women don't always have to be.
look i don’t make the rules but sometimes a family can be a sexuality crisis-inducing captain, a transexual harpooning robot, a drug cartel leader-turned-engineer, a badass pilot with a hidden soft spot for kids, and a child/fart machine who keeps having to use the bathroom, and it’s nothing short of beautiful
I needed to do this for the crew of the Victory. 😂
