I'm watching assen 2018 and I keep thinking how the fuck did marc beat the ducatis bc everytime he makes ground, they get on the straight and the ducatis freaking fly right past, like jesus you can rlly see how much the honda fucking sucks
Also imo 2017 and 2018 had some of the best races in modern motogp I've seen
Haha I actually made my mum watch that race with me a couple of months ago because she didn’t think much of Marc (we started watching MotoGP in 2020 so obviously we’ve only seen him on a god-awful Honda and with one functioning arm for the most part). I wanted to show her how good peak Marc was but I honestly forgot how well he did on that terrible bike especially against a very good Yamaha and the Ducatis (and also massive credit to Rins on the Suzuki too).
Honestly that race was one of the best races I’ve ever seen, and like you said I think when I’ve rewatched the past races I’ve definitely found myself enjoying the ones from 2017-18 more. Also Austria 2017 and the finale from that year I enjoyed too, and the madness that was Argentina 2018.
