Happy Easter! Here's a cute lamb. --- This little ewe lamb is being bottle fed every two to three hours by Rob and I, including through the night. Her mum is 11, that's reaaaaally old for a sheep, and had a very troubled birth on Friday morning. If it hadn't been for our neighbours keeping an eye out then we would have lost her and the lamb. The lamb was a bit dopey to start with, but she really took to the bottle and suckling today! Drank all her milk! We have had another old sheep have twins just now and they're both doing fine, and I'm watching a gimmer lamb just now... An hour late to work today... This sheep decided to find a feed bag somewhere (???) and get it stuck round it's leg, then gallop across the meadow. Enter me, gasping for breath, hauling my carcasse as fast as I can, and the entire herd of cows after it, thinking the feed bag is full.. I eventually cornered her on this cliff but hebrideans are masters of climbing things like this.. However I did manage to get the bag and she got down safely. #croft #sheep #tighnaneun

Preparing for pigs! This is why I’ve been MIA since Saturday! We’ve been saying for nearly four years we would get “pigs in the spring” and now it’s the spring and we have pigs!!
This quail looks sooo unimpressed at being in a box 😂 it was the rare breeds sale on Saturday and I got five quail for £2! I haven't had quail for a couple of years now so I'm excited to have some back again ☺️ #croft #tighnaneun #rogart
