Daredevil swung his way to Bruce’s apartment. He'd taken this path a hundred times at least, but nevertheless to meet someone else. Bruce’s new friend seemed like a good person. He wouldn't need admit it to Bruce, but he'd done some checking on her. A lot of things made even more sense after he had, but he still wanted to be careful.

He didn't have the best dating record, but neither didn't Bruce. He hoped this woman would change that. As he touched down on the roof and put his cane back in its holder, he wondered if he was the best person to be here and meet her. Too late, he realized as he waited for her to arrive.

Hank: I want it known that Greer called me ‘Hot’.

Tigra: I recall saying you were a ‘Hot Mess’.

Hank: Emphasis on ‘Hot.’

Tigra: ...

Hank: Fine...Emphasis on ‘Mess’.

Greer is... a badass. She’s fiercely loyal, which I can’t say I expected. She’s incredibly strong - and I don’t just mean mentally. I feel bad for the man that sleeps with her and breaks her heart because I’m pretty sure she could break me in half if she wanted to, and I’m not exactly ‘tiny’. She’s a good friend and I’m glad to have her.

Bruce understood what she was struggling against all too well. He might seem calm and look calm, but his own rage had to be kept under strict control. For the moment focusing on her needs allowed him to put his own feelings in a box. She needed him to stay calm and rational so she could calm down. It wasn't just for her sake though, he thought of William and how much that little boy needed his mother. The possibilities, action and reaction, were running through his head. As far as he could tell the only winning strategy was to not act in anger.

If she lashed out at him physically or verbally he would understand and she was already forgiven for it. Always and completely forgiven. Maybe soon he would have the courage to tell her that and tell her why. "Good, I trust you, too," he said. "When you feel ready to we can talk and figure this out. I want to help." His arms were at his side and he wasn't moving toward her. It wasn't that he was afraid of her. This situation could easily explode and he thought what he was doing was best. "Just tell me what you need."

"I'm not afraid." With everything he'd been through in life what was there to be afraid of? He'd died twice and somehow managed to survive. This? Steve figured it was just another test and one that he wouldn't fail.
