I have two important questions: 1- do you have any tips to draw natsu’s eyes? I’m trying to keep it oval like the anime, but it seems so weird to me, idk why. 2- do you have any good rec for J-dramas? Your reblogs are making me wanna watch again BDJABD my last one was Itazura na Kiss lol

Hmm for his eyes, I usually go pointy/narrow. Only when I’m drawing him younger (or using a more cartoony style) do I give them a more rounded, larger look. Here’s a few examples of how I’ve drawn his eyes. 

I’ve noticed the more I stray from Mashima’s style, the more I like how his eyes turn out but it’s up to you and what works well with your drawing style! It took me some time to get my own signature way of drawing Natsu where he still looks recognizable, so play around a bit till you find something that feels right to you! :)

As for jdramas, sorry I don’t really have any reccs! I almost exclusively watch kdramas and cdrama. BUT I did really enjoy “May I Blackmail You?” so if it sounds like something you’d like, I do recommend giving that one a try!

Will the preorders be open again?? I couldn’t get it on time ;-;

Hi!

Yes, we will open the shop again with leftover zines and merch once preorders have been processed. Once we know the specific date, we’ll make an anouncement post here!  We’ll also update the zine schedule page. Right now, our best estimate is that the shop will open again around mid-June, but we’ll definitely keep everyone updated as best as we can!

Hi, so I’m super late in this, but I love the ship and I’ve seen a lot of things from Kacchako week, so this is the origin??? When it happens? And how do you collect the stuff people post? (Sorry if it’s stupid to ask)

Hello hello! No worries ! I do have a rules/guidelines post that does answer all of this but I’ll just give you the quick run down! 

Either way, YES! This is the official blog for the week here on tumblr! This is the blog where I ask for opinions on what the prompts be and make them based on the suggestions given to me! Once I get that, then I make a prompt list and go from there. 

The week happens on March 13-19th with a pre day on the 6th and a post date on the 20th. 

If you want your piece to be reblogged by me, you have to tag the post as Kacchako week or at least mention somewhere that it’s for Kacchako week. I will admit, I got really bad with reblogging the last half of the entries and I’m planning on getting around that super soon so just give me a bit to reblog the last pieces! But that’s how I know when to reblog it here!

How you do your sketching and lining art process? Also, I’m loving the 1800 AU!!!

Thank you, happy to hear you’re enjoying it!! I do everything digitally, either in Procreate or Clip Studio Paint! Lately I’ve been using the same brush for both sketching and lining, which is a habit I picked up when I started using Procreate (because I fell in love with One Singular Brush and refused to use anything else except when coloring. I even made a clone for it in CSP that I’ve been using exclusively now too).

My sketches tend to be a mess but like.. a controlled mess lol.

Okay, I need the site you use to watch kdramas. Everytime I look into your blog there’s a new set of wholesome gifs that makes me wanna watch, I already wanna watch abt 4!! That last one with the illustrations and the “a mere act can be gigantic” one rlly made me go “OKAY. I NEED A SITE!”

Oh! I watch all my dramas either on Viki or Netflix. Viki has a lot of dramas available for free so it’s a great site and it’s official/legal! The illustration one is “My Secret Romance” (can’t say I really recommend it, it was good for what it was but do give it a try if it sounds like your kind of thing!) and the other is “Extra-ordinary You” (TRULY I cannot recommend this drama enough, it’s SO GOOD aaaaa my kids)
