RIP Tilly Evans you would've loved Brennan Lee Mulligan
Little doodle I made! It's not very good but it makes me happy :D I don't know who Tilly's yelling at, but boy I'd hate to be them
Art critique/pointers welcome! Reblog if you, too, are going feral over She Kills Monsters
Dare I say that My Play by AJR fits Tilly Evans a little too well?
"You know I'm not her, right?"
Saw a truly wonderful showing of She Kills Monsters at my friend's school (they are assistant director!) 💖 Was inspired after the first night to create this as a present to the director and my friend after the final showing! Everyone worked so hard and put so much heart into each moment ☺️
She kills monsters is so heartbreaking??? When my friend was telling me what it was going to be about bc she was going to be in a production she didn’t mention that it was such like an emotionally driven and charged plot.
Like when Agnes is talking to Vera about how she didn’t know her sister. She loved her and she cared for her childhood and looked forward to being friends as adults but she never got that and she never will. Her sister died a stranger and she never realized how separated she was from her little sister until she died.
Agnes pleading to Tilly that she was “just starting to get to know you”. Begging a ghost for just a few more moments.
Every scene where Agnes talks to Chuck hoping for a better glimpse of her sister. Her kid sister that she couldn’t fully know in life.
The part when Agnes learns Tilly was a lesbian and is like why didn’t you tell me why did I find out this way. And Tilly is just like I didn’t want you ti know, this is private. Every mention of this campaign being private just kinda hurts. Because yeah, if Tilly was alive Agnes wouldn’t know so much about her. It wasn’t stuff Tilly was ready for her to know. They weren’t ready for eachother.
It so messed that they never get a chance to be ready for eachother. Agnes’ whole family dies and they died as strangers. She learns her interests and gets close with her friends but she never had a chance to be close with her sister.
Kinda same vein as lily, lily never really had the chance to express her love to Tilly. They were close and they loved eachother but to lily Tilly will always be a what if a girl she loved but never told someone who could never be.
I want to read over the script of this bc I feel like I’m missing so much but like yes it was funny and entertaining but there is just so much that is getting to me. I didn’t walk into this play with the knowledge that it would be about grief, but I suppose that’s how life is, you don’t expect it.
Our Chuck is playing him as a closeted bisexual who has a crush on Orcus/Ronnie (that’s why Orcus is Like That) and I got this amazing revelation
Today's LGBT+ Character is;
