Goddamit i hate this fucking post. I hate it because obviously if âtwelveâ followed the same pattern as the other teen numbers it wouldnât be âtwoteenâ it would be âseconteenâ. Think about it. Itâs not âthreeteenâ itâs âthirteenâ as in âthirdâ. Itâs not âfiveteenâ itâs âfifteenâ as in fifth. So with that in mind, you count âfirst, second, third, fourth, fifth,â and so on, so eleven would be âfirsteenâ and twelve would be âsecondteenâ or âseconteenâ. âFirsteen, seconteen, thirteen, fourteen, fifteenâŚ.â It just drives me absolutely mad everytime i see this post that this obvious pattern was overlooked and i cant hold in my rage anymore.

saw a TikTok of a girl talking about how essentially she has to be closeted at her job even though the kids at the daycare ask her why she doesnât have a bf. Comment section was just absurdly out of touch. all the comments were like âbeing uncomfortable/not wanting to doesnât mean canât đâ âyou just need to take a stand and do it đâ

The Odyssey but retold as a low-stakes modern adventure of one guy out with his girlfriend leaving the bar with his buddies to do just one (1) simple thing real quick, it'll take like 15 minutes tops, he'll be right back, but then some bullshit happens and the trip keeps getting more complicated as more bullshit keeps happening while he just tries to get back to the bar because he promised his girlfriend that he'd get back and he knows that she's still there because she told him she'd wait there.
And by the time he finally gets back it's almost 3 am and the bar is about to close while she's sitting there stone cold sober, surrounded by 5 drunk guys unsuccessfully trying to convince her to give up on waiting for him and go home with one of them instead. Reading a buzzfeed article w stories ppl have shared of alleged âunexplained mysteries theyâve personally experiencedâ bc Iâm cringe and like. Just as a PSA. If something like this happens to you (where you clearly remember something physical & tangible that you KNOW existed but those around you tell you that the thing never actually existed) you need to go to a neurologist ASAP like immediately. If this story is true there is a high likelihood that this person has a brain tumor.
I read r/glitchinthematrix occasionally and cannot tell you how many ppl have posted things like this as though theyâre supernatural occurrences completely unaware that what they are describing are actually textbook signs of cancer. One of the most disturbing ones I read was by a woman in college who swore up and down that the prior semester her dorm room had a bathroom connected to it but when she came back the bathroom wasnât there and was connected to her suite mateâs room instead (yet everyone living in the suite w her maintained it was never connected to her room); someone urged her to go to a neurologist to get checked for a brain tumor and she followed up a month later confirming her cancer diagnosis. Ppl asked for updates after that but she never responded again.
I mention this just to underscore how fucking dangerous it is to buy into conspiracy theory thinking to the point where you start disregarding potential real-life explanations for whatâs happening to you, especially those that might have dire implications for your health. Occamâs razor is a bitch but it applies and unfortunately the most likely answer for this sort of scenario is an issue w your brain. Donât let the temptation of something extraordinary obscure the unforgiving ordinary staring you directly in the face
