Holding Something Amazing.

Inktober Day 24! Hoo boy, there’s a lot of stuff on today.

Not only is it Ace Visibility Week (evidenced by Nana’s Demi T-shirt), but it’s also Tim’s Birthday and the Anniversary of the amazing @territorialrain and @ashiftingworkshop!

I tried to combine everything I wanted to celebrate today into one picture— not sure how successful I was though. Drawing Tinies is a lot harder than it looks!

Nana is terrified he may drop them or hurt them somehow. Tim’s giving some not-so-reassuring advice while Tina does damage control. Terri and Shop are just enjoying one another’s company as they rightly deserve to.

Inktober Day 26. These coming 4 days really make you wonder about that old mirror, don’t they?

Not One but Two Viewers.

Oh boy, who remembers these two?? (Probably not me since I drew them exactly ONCE) But for Day 6 of Inktober allow me to reintroduce District Attorney Tim Coffret and Nurse Tina Coffret!

I got the idea for them by watching Who Killed Markiplier with my brother, and then by seeing how Ethan and Amy traded off playing the DA during filming. Also I am kind of upset by the continued abscence of Tiny Box Tim and Tina in recent years, so there’s that too.

Plus this idea kind of allowed a link with A Date with Markiplier, as if one sibling becomes Dark, the other could escape somehow and, (after years of moving through mental hospitals without aging, and gradually having their memories of their former identity and trauma repressed and rewritten by well-meaning folk), emerge in the present day to take part in that.

Could explain why Mark and Dark taken an interest in the first place, though that does lead to the squicky thought that Dark is pursuing them while inhabiting their sibling’s body, but I never really got that far, so I digress.

I always imagined their situations to be pretty interchangeable, though the “official” version online has Tina being possessed and Tim as the escapee, so when I wrote a short WIP about them and the Detective (before Wilford MOTHERLOVIN’ Warfstache came out), I wrote two versions, one for each of them.

(And yes, I was extremely excited to have my theory that WKM was happening in the late 40s validated, given that I’d built up a whole thing in my head where asshole actor Mark actually goes into service on the Pacific Front to try and test how immortal he is and dies several times).

Celine and Damien belong to Markiplier. I just modeled Tim and Tina on CrankGamePlays and Planet Peebles.

The Viewers

Thomasina "Tina" Amelia Coffret

Born May 21, 1924

The stubborn elder sister.

Concerned with responsibility.

Hates being called "Teeny" or "Tamsin" or "Tommy"

Looks after Tim and has done so since their mother passed during the Depression.

Served in the Navy Nurse Corps on the Pacific front when following her brother after the draft.

Uses experience as a nurse.

Met Mark when he came down with (and briefly died from) malaria, nursed him until he was deemed healthy enough to return to the Front.

Worried about being a drain on her brother's resources, since there are no more employment opportunities for women now the war is over.

Knows that she wants a big family and a dog someday, as it has only been her and her brother for as long as she can remember.

Enjoys managing her brother's campaign for District Attorney, organizing rallies, getting flyers out, etc.

First met Damien when he endorsed her brother's campaign for District Attorney.

Timothy "Tim" Ethan Coffret

Born October 24, 1925

The clever younger brother.

Concerned with justice.

Hates being called "Timmy" or "Timo" or "Timbo"

Looks out for Tina and has done so since their father died in the Pearl Harbor Bombings.

Served in the 184th Infantry Regiment on the Pacific Front when he was selected in the draft.

Uses experience as a lawyer.

Met Mark when the two were drafted into the same squad and fought together on the Front (where Mark died a couple of times).

Proud of getting a law degree from UCLA after saving up from previous jobs he had worked, and first met Damien during his time there.

Doesn't know what he wants from life yet, would prefer to explore for a few more years and do what he loves before settling down.

Enjoys his work as a lawyer and runs for District Attorney because he genuinely wants to help people.

Recently elected District Attorney, thanks in large part to Damien's endorsement.
