Cheering myself up today with some sketchy Clone Cuddles™
Armie was invited to watch holofilms with them too but he doesn’t like cuddles (so he says anyway)
10-12 for an OC of your choice.
I am so sorry, I thought it’d be fun to interview Caleb and Tim together, and then I got a little bit carried away with this lol
If a lot of people, possibly innocent people, have to die in order to make a real change, is it worth it? Can you live with their deaths even if it helps people in the present?
C: I, um…I think maybe you’re asking the wrong brother.
T: And I’m a doctor so…this is kind of the opposite of what I do. I try to keep as many people alive as possible!
C: Yeah, exactly. And even though I work with weapons - mainly blasters - (Tim giggles, and Caleb cracks a smile) You’ll have to forgive his immaturity, he’s three whole days younger than me, you see. Anyhow, as I was saying - I specialise in non-lethal weaponry. Mostly paralysers. Very effective, perhaps not the most pleasant thing to be on the receiving end of, but you know, at least you’re not dead. If…if I had to make that choice, and it was guaranteed to make things better then maybe I would. But I’m not sure I could live with myself.
T: Sometimes people are going to end up dead whatever you do. Like the Death Stars, or…Starkiller Base. A lot of the people that died were technicians or worked in the canteen, things like that. They didn’t get chance to evacuate. I’m not saying that was necessarily the wrong decision, but I don’t think it’s one I could make. Not on my own.
C: Hmm, what about a dangerous medical trial?
T: Oh, well…if they’re volunteers, and they know the risks. But then that wouldn’t be a decision I was making on my own. And they’ve opted in. Naturally, I’d prefer it if every medical trial ran smoothly, but…you know.
Imagine there is a beast that craves attention. If you ignore it, despite being deadly, it will leave you alone. Could you live like that? Even if it possibly attacked others? Would you try and challenge something that unknown?
C: Do you mean Kylo Ren?
T: (laughing hysterically)
C: It depends, I guess. What happens if I give it attention? Will that make it happy or will it attack me, too? Because then I’m not sure how that would really help anyone. I’d be dead and it could still attack other people.
T: Maybe we could try to tame it.
C: I don’t think it’s that kind of creature.
T: What if everyone leaves it alone? Then will it keep to itself? I mean I’d feel kinda bad for it, it’d be pretty lonely, but if the alternative is people getting hurt…
If someone else stole something and you stole it back is that a good deed, a bad deed or one of equal worth? Are you better than the original thief?
T: What did I steal?
C: Chocolate chip muffins, obviously.
T: (laughing) Was I starving? Because then I think it’s probably not so bad…unless the person I stole from was starving, too. Then I’d have to hope they’d share the muffins with me, I suppose? Although, to be honest, we should probably have stolen something with more nutritional value.
C: You would go for the muffins though. I’m not sure, I mean…if you steal to feed yourself or your family when it seems like you’re out of other options, that’s pretty different to nicking someone’s credits to spend on whisky or sabacc or whatever. And it depends who you steal from. If they’re no better off than you are…I don’t really think you can call that a good deed. Even if you’re desperate.
Interview my OC(s)!
Halloween Hux Clones (1/?)
Pretty sure that even if Halloween did exist in the SW verse, Hux wouldn’t allow such nonsense on his ship, thank you very much, but have Dr. Tim Valorum (34, adorkable) dressed up as a cute mad scientist anyway.
Since I just found out that Nightmare Before Christmas is on Netflix now for me, how about a movie related oc ask: what are your ocs favourite movie genres/tv genres? What about ones they can't stand?
Ooo, that’s a good one! :D
Ruby likes superhero movies (she was really looking forward to the Silver Shroud movie that never happened) and murder mysteries - do not watch these with Piper. Things with a lot of action and explosions, but also a lot of feeling. She’s okay with some dramas, but she really hates soaps.
Bill enjoys watching anything that features a lot of blasters and boobs. Although sometimes he notices that the depictions of blasters are inaccurate and this irritates him. So, I guess action/adventure. Sometimes horror. Preferably with pretty ladies and not blasters that didn’t even exist during the Clone Wars, thank you very much. He can’t stand chick flicks and pretentious indie stuff makes him roll his eyes.
Caleb has the same issue when watching anything featuring blaster fights because he’s also an expert when it comes to weaponry. So he tends to avoid them. He likes a lot of the pretentious indie stuff that makes Bill roll his eyes. And documentaries, he watches a lot of documentaries. Pretends to hate dramas but secretly enjoys them. Actually hates psychological horror because it really freaks him out.
I’m not even gonna go into talking about Tim’s holovid preferences because by now everyone has heard about that one rathtar vid, other than to say that he does also watch medical documentaries.
Seth likes watching chick flicks with Alice and Roslin. And anything with happy endings really. He’s a sweet summer child, or something. He dislikes anything particularly grim. He’d hate something like Game of Thrones with a passion - though for that matter so would Alice and Roslin, just not for all of the same reasons. When Seth’s not around, the ladies watch really bad horror movies and laugh at them.
And Lilith loves watching good horror. Really scary stuff. But she doesn’t get scared, because she knows that sort of thing couldn’t happen to her - she’d see it coming because of the Force, okay. She and Bill eventually bond over their shared hatred of chick flicks.
The clones and the Sun. Who hides? Who insists that sunburns turn into tan "eventually"? Weirdest tan marks? Tell me all the things.
Some more Very Important Headcanons about the clones:
As you know, Caleb was born on Arkanis, then spent ten years on Jakku (between the ages of 4 and 14) before returning to Arkanis and staying there until the events of Thursday’s Child. So he’s had the experience of living on a rainy planet and a desert planet.
He knows that the sun is not his friend. When he lived on Jakku he wore similar clothing to Rey’s scavenger gear, making sure his entire body was covered when he went out:
But on Arkanis he looks forward to sunny days because they’re so rare (and he’s also less likely to get burned, since it’s usually still cloudy). This is also why his pet name for Lucy is “sunshine”.
It doesn’t matter what planet he’s on, but if there’s the slightest chance of sunshine Tim is going to lather himself in sunscreen. Being the only pale redhead in his adoptive family, he got sunburned when he was younger and out playing with his siblings, before his parents realised that his pale, freckly skin was a little more sensitive than theirs and made sure he put on sunscreen and wore a straw hat before he went out, to protect his scalp and the back of his neck:
Obviously Bill is the one who a) gets ridiculous tan burn lines and b) insists the burns will eventually become a tan. Because he likes wandering around in a vest when it’s hot (so those ladies can check out his biceps ofc) and ends up looking like he’s a lobster in a vest:
Seth uses his sunscreen quite liberally, and tries to persuade Alice that he needs help putting it on the back of his neck - and oh, while she’s there anyway, a back massage would be GREAT. (But really, he’s not pushy about it, he just really likes the physical contact). And Roslin is also sensible with her sunscreen but she also has a parasol (probably yet another gift from a senator) because she’s classy af:
And I’m not even going to talk about Armitage and his relationship with the sun because...you know ;)
chupacabrasmustdie replied to your post “for that psychology ask -- #3 for Tim and Alice, please :3”
Yisss. Tim, my clever baby. And lol, Alice!
Clever except when it comes to Brendol, lol sob I’m sure he will learn soon enough though
for that psychology ask -- #3 for Tim and Alice, please :3
3. Does your OC behave differently around different people, if so with whom and how?
Yes. Tim is quite perceptive, and - while he tends to use it to help people - can be rather manipulative. He knows how to get different patients to tell him the things they’ve been holding back. For the same reason, he behaves differently according to what he thinks they might find more comforting. Sometimes he gets it wrong, but not often. With his (non-biological) parents and siblings, and later with Caleb and Lucy, he comes across a lot more dorky because he’s a lot more likely to say or do the first thing that comes to mind. And...with Brendol he comes across as eager to please.
Alice doesn’t change her behaviour too much around different people. She’s not particularly shy, and she’s pretty open about, well, anything. But she does realise not everyone is up for hearing about her buying new batteries for her vibrator (while he’s okay with her mentioning stuff like this to him now, Seth used to get super embarrassed about this kind of thing) or likes hugging as much as she does, so if she thinks someone might get uncomfortable she’ll adjust her behaviour accordingly and avoid spouting a load of TMI.
