Ren sat up in bed, his back pressed against the cool, reinforced steel wall. He was too tired to flow-walk. He’d thought to meditate in the calm darkness of the quarters but the atmosphere dripped with Hux’s irritation. His anger brought to mind a swarm of Geonosians – the short, clipped sounds of their language, the hum of their wings as the hive moved as one. There was an order to it, but an outsider was unlikely to perceive that order.

Ren was an outsider.

Hux shifted beside him, draping an arm over Millicent. Ren had discovered the fluffy, orange creature in Hux’s quarters a few days ago, and now it seemed she refused to leave his side. Her intelligent green eyes briefly flickered towards him, as if sensing her presence in his thoughts. Exasperated, Ren prodded Hux with his elbow.

“At least put more effort into it if you’re going to pretend to be asleep.”

“I was sleeping,” Hux snapped, quickly retracting his arm. “Before you woke me with all your tossing and turning.”

“No.” Ren knew he would have to tread carefully. “You have something on your mind.”

“Of course you’ve been mind-reading. I don’t know why I’d expect-”

“I haven’t,” he said firmly, making sure to meet Hux’s gaze. “Even if I couldn’t…feel it, your body language is hardly subtle.” He knew that Hux was being deliberately obtuse – he was well aware that it was impossible for even the most skilled knight to remain undetected during a mind-probe, whether their target was force-sensitive or not.

He shut his eyes and tried to focus on Millicent’s presence as he waited, either for a reply or for Hux to drift off to sleep. Ren had encountered many animals as a child, and more still as a young man, but this one must have been a rare creature. Her fur was soft, but her mind was sharp. She delighted in giving and receiving affection, yet also in the thrill of the hunt…and of the kill. Curious, since she did not need to hunt – her food was provided for her, in delicious, bite-sized chunks. Ren decided he liked this animal after all.

Hux did not reply, nor did he sleep.

Lucy woke when Caleb started coughing. She rolled out of bed, shivering as she shed her blanket and her bare feet touched the floor. The room was cold and dark, just like the rest of the ship, and she almost swore when she stubbed her toe. Instead, she merely bit her lip while her fingers swept over the desk in search of Caleb’s inhaler. When she found it, she slipped back into the warmth of the bed to hand it to him.

“Thanks, sunshine,” he said between puffs. She’d always thought the inhaler made a weird sound when he used it. “Sorry I woke you again.”

“It’s okay. I’m not really tired.” She stifled a yawn. It wasn’t his fault his breathing was worse on a morning.

“Sure you’re not,” he muttered, mussing her hair. “Well, you can always take a nap before your friend DeeDee visits.” She groaned.

“I don’t take naps. I’m eight.”

“So?” Caleb chuckled softly, carefully untangling her curls with his fingers. “Naps aren’t just for kids.”

“Maybe I’ll just drink loads of caf instead. Seems to work for you.”

“Eight is a little young for caf, sunshine. Besides, don’t think I haven’t seen the faces you’ve pulled when you’ve tried it.” Now it was her turn to laugh as she remembered sipping her mam’s caf, rich and bitter, so bitter, trying hard not to spit it out. Mam had winked at Caleb and Narue, and then flashed her that told-you-so smile. Lucy had been annoyed at the time – she’d only been six – but now the memory made her smile.

It also made her miss her mam.

“Can we comm Mam later?” she asked.

“Sure. I miss her too. We can tell her all about my dinner with the pig in a suit.” At that, Lucy lost it, descending into a fit of giggles. “Actually, we probably shouldn’t really say that in case we’re being monitored, but…” Lucy knew what he was thinking, because she was thinking the same thing.

Fuck it.

Bill had not expected to run into his wife quite so soon. Naturally, Lilith had found the whole affair hilarious when they’d turned up to see her sitting at the bar, wearing an elegant black dress and a pair of red heels with straps that wound around her calves. She was everything he remembered, and more.

“What’s a fine lady like you doing drinking on her own in a place like this?”

“Oh, William. The galaxy really is too small. And you brought a friend? How lovely.” She turned to Lilith with a grin. “Hmm, this doesn’t bode well at all – this one looks like she has more than a couple of brain cells to rub together. Won’t take her long to realise she can do better.”

“Maybe I already have,” Lilith replied, casting an appreciative glance in Rosy’s direction. You didn’t tell me what a lovely wife you had, Kera. Rosy sipped her drink, a look of amusement playing across her features.

“Yes, well, we’re here on business, actually,” he snapped, glaring at Lilith. She didn’t seem to notice, too caught up in the new, unfamiliar surroundings. He didn’t know where she’d come from before she was serving on the Finalizer, but he doubted it was filled with flashy neon lights and jovial laughter.

“And you’re conducting that business at the bar?”

“Yes.” Rosy shrugged, fidgeting with the straw in her glass. He recalled Lucy doing the same thing with her juice in the cantina.

“None of my business,” she said. “Just so long as you don’t cause any trouble on my ship.”

“Wouldn’t dream of it, sweetheart.” Rosy rolled her eyes as she finished her drink. When she excused herself, he considered inviting himself to her quarters later – that is, before he was distracted by the other red-haired woman approaching the bar.

The observation deck was empty when Brendol arrived. He was tired and wheezing after the walk from his personal quarters, but he needed to see it. It seemed an age since Starkiller Base, since they’d first left the Unknown Regions to reclaim what was rightfully theirs, but now the Finalizer loomed over the familiar, rainy planet.

Unprompted - A Night To Remember

So basically this is entirely @venatohru‘s fault this fic happened and since it’s her fault I borrowed her guy to give EJ a night she won’t forget, just not necessarily for all the reasons she’d like ;) 

NSFW because silly space smut

When he’d sidled up to her at the bar earlier that evening she hadn’t thought she would end up inviting him back to her room for the night. He was easy enough on the eyes, but it was clear from how he carried himself that he knew it and normally EJ couldn’t be bothered wasting her with someone like that. But despite that she’d found his company pleasant and quickly found that she didn’t really care all too much if he loved himself - especially not when he’d been buying her half her drinks.

He’d seemed eager to show just how charming he could really be and Emma was not about to turn the man down, especially not when he’d gotten his mouth on her. He seemed to know what he was doing and once he’d figured out what she preferred - with a little nudging from Emma -  there was no slowing him down. Not that she was about to stop him either.

It took a few attempts to regain his attention and get him to stop long enough to talk to him. “Bill. Wouldn’t you like to give your jaw a rest and come fuck me instead?”

As much as she loved being eaten out, she’d been hoping for a good fuck when she’d invited him back to her room. She makes his answer easy and tugs on his hair to draw him away from between her thighs, more strands coming out of his bun as she pulls at it.

He grins up at her as he comes up to kiss her. “How do you want it?”

She kisses him quick and hard before pushing him off, then flips over so she’s standing on her hands and knees. Bill takes a second to enjoy the view before clambering after her. She waits awkwardly, ass in the air, as he tries to line himself up properly, but the wait is worth it when he finds his rhythm. Emma bounces back towards him, ass meeting his hips with each thrust. All the while Bill mutters honeyed words to her - tells her how good she feels, says how beautiful she looks, asks her to come for him - not that Emma listens to them, too busy focusing on the pleasure she’s feeling.

“Fuck, I’m close.”

“Then come for me baby.”

Before he knows what’s happening EJ has moved from under him to the top of the bed and is buckled over laughing.

“What? What’s wrong?”

“Baby? God, so much for my orgasm.

Bill pouts at her from across the bed. “What’s wrong with baby?”

“I just - I can’t.” Instead of answering him properly, Emma just shakes her head and keeps laughing. “Baby. Jesus Christ.”

“Look,” says Bill. “How about I make it up to you? We could go again or I can go down on your again or - whatever you want.”

Emma takes a moment before rejoining him, sitting close to him and reaching a hand to his cheek. She pushes some stray hair from his face and smiles at him. “There is no way in hell I’m gonna be able to go back to fucking now. Tell you what. Gimme a minute to clear my head and stop laughing, then you can show me what you’re good at again, ‘kay?”

She pecks him on the cheek as she stands then heads to the bathroom, the feeling on his eyes on her ass as she walks away. “Don’t worry, you two will be getting personally reacquainted very soon.”

She leaves him sweating then for what feels like an eternity, though in reality she’s only gone for about five minutes. She doesn’t stop him the second time around, doesn’t need to, she simply lies back and lets him do his thing. By the time he’s through with her, his little slip of the tongue is long forgotten.

Since I just found out that Nightmare Before Christmas is on Netflix now for me, how about a movie related oc ask: what are your ocs favourite movie genres/tv genres? What about ones they can't stand?

Ooo, that’s a good one! :D

Ruby likes superhero movies (she was really looking forward to the Silver Shroud movie that never happened) and murder mysteries - do not watch these with Piper. Things with a lot of action and explosions, but also a lot of feeling. She’s okay with some dramas, but she really hates soaps. 

Bill enjoys watching anything that features a lot of blasters and boobs. Although sometimes he notices that the depictions of blasters are inaccurate and this irritates him. So, I guess action/adventure. Sometimes horror. Preferably with pretty ladies and not blasters that didn’t even exist during the Clone Wars, thank you very much. He can’t stand chick flicks and pretentious indie stuff makes him roll his eyes.

Caleb has the same issue when watching anything featuring blaster fights because he’s also an expert when it comes to weaponry. So he tends to avoid them. He likes a lot of the pretentious indie stuff that makes Bill roll his eyes. And documentaries, he watches a lot of documentaries. Pretends to hate dramas but secretly enjoys them. Actually hates psychological horror because it really freaks him out.

I’m not even gonna go into talking about Tim’s holovid preferences because by now everyone has heard about that one rathtar vid, other than to say that he does also watch medical documentaries.

Seth likes watching chick flicks with Alice and Roslin. And anything with happy endings really. He’s a sweet summer child, or something. He dislikes anything particularly grim. He’d hate something like Game of Thrones with a passion - though for that matter so would Alice and Roslin, just not for all of the same reasons. When Seth’s not around, the ladies watch really bad horror movies and laugh at them. 

And Lilith loves watching good horror. Really scary stuff. But she doesn’t get scared, because she knows that sort of thing couldn’t happen to her - she’d see it coming because of the Force, okay. She and Bill eventually bond over their shared hatred of chick flicks.

1. Your first OC ever?I think it was the character I played in Pokémon Crystal as a kid? I had a little notebook filled with loads of backstory for her and shipped her with the rival in the game lmao

23. Introduce an OC that has changed from your first idea concerning what the character would be like?Haaa, Bill was initially going to be like Dad of the Year™ but he ended up being pretty bad at the whole parenting thing and kind of an asshole. It’s not that he doesn’t care about his daughter, but more that it doesn’t come naturally to him (and having a force-sensitive child was also a bit of a surprise, and not something he knows how to deal with). This happened because parenting isn’t a thing that’s easy or that comes naturally to everyone, and because I thought it would be more interesting to see someone trying and learning. Plus it’s Star Wars and complicated familial relationships are totally its bread and butter, right?

33. Your shyest OC?Definitely Seth. He finds it very difficult to have proper conversations with new people - partly because he suffers from PSTD and social anxiety, and also because (as mentioned here) he spent the majority of his teenage years enrolled in an academy program that involved taking glitterstim on a regular basis, which allowed him to communicate telepathically with the other boys in the program - they were able to share information, thoughts, and feelings quickly and efficiently this way, and speaking out loud began to feel awkward and clumsy to them. So it’s a difficult adjustment to make.
