"How could someone get hurt, ay?" he asked, his tongue idly toying with his lip piercing as he thought about the other's concern. "I mean, I guess if you didn't look after it, it could get infected or something." That was all he'd managed to come up with, but, in his many years of acquiring novelty piercings only to get rid of them after a few months, he'd never had any real problems. "Little kids get their ears pierced all the time. I think you might be overthinking it a little. I mean, no one's pressuring you to get anything, but, it's not as bad as you're thinking it is."
