Even the comics were darker and scary as well. I don't think people recognize the significance and the uncanny resemblance to these two artists being producers/curators of these iconic album soundtracks. When #Prince made this Batman soundtrack in 1989, it was revolutionary, because modern day pop stars weren't really thought of as score, movie music producer types back then. When Prince produced this Batman soundtrack, the entire movie embraced a Prince-esque theme, and the music did the same. If you think about it, 1989 Batman also launched the super-hero, Dramatic, Motion picture film as a genre. Before this, you had Adam West type comic book type shows and films. Yes, you had 1979 Superman, But those films, pre 1989 were still comical and comic book ish, with colorful themes. The Launching of #TimBurtons #Batman #1989, was actually a newer, serious, dark genre. Even #MichaelKeaton a comedic actor, took on a serious role, and, dawned a darker #batsuit, both which strayed COMPLETELY away from what @Batman was known to be. This, Phenomenal, unheard of, and, historic switch, became in my opinion, the best Batman, ever. I Believe the same could be said with @BlackPanther. Prince was one of the most dominate producers at that time, and now, #HipHop is the most dominate music genre now, and #BlackPanther is an all black, lead cast with a @DISNEY/@Marvel budget, and the Top Rated, Rap Grammy of the year Awarded artist, @KendrickLamar has taken the helms of this new push forward. Just like Batman and Prince embarked on a new direction and new genre, one that no one knew what could become, Who knows what this new collab of Black Panther and Kendrick Lamar and the TDE sound will create. I do believe something even greater will be birthded from this, and just like in 1989, K. Dot #KendrickLamar and @ChadwickBoseman are definitely in The Captains quarter's making decisions for when this new push begins.
